Thanks Dan.

whats a plain jane/ merry widow exactly?? a cue with a single wood forearm and no inlays?? bc I thought they were the most basic of woods with a butt cap. this is not a plain or merry anything, this is a "fancy" cue in my opinion, and if this is a PJ/MW, than the title is correct.

I read somewhere on AZ that Plain Jane refers 4 pointer cues without any inlays.
Cues without points are referred to as Merry Widows.
I can't remember where i read that from but definitely from AZ and if i recall correctly it's how Dennis Searing termed them.

Then again i use the term Plain Jane very loosely as well, most often i call any plain cues without point as Plain Janes too.

With all that said there are way fancy cues out there and by fancy i mean cues with fancy point works, inlays, materials..those are fancy to me. This cue to me is a Gorgeously Luxurious Merry Widow

Outstanding cue Jive.. Interesting that he used different ringwork in the segments and the collars.. Love the look..

Thanks Dan.
If you look closely at the ringwork in the segments is actually an "extract" of the main ringwork. Dave took the middle section of that level 4 ring tweaked some elements(wood and colour) a little and dressed up segmented handle.

Do you have any more pics?.... :D..... Kidding.... Nice

The ringwork is just insane! I get a headache just thinking about how long it took to do!!

You me both

What a cue... Classy, clean, simple and fancy all at the same time.

Great photos, Jive!

Thanks Mike!~

That's a beauty!

No doubt about that.

Thanks Jake, it's true black background makes the pictures more elegant. I went with white cos the hickory burl was a very natural and earthy tone so I wanted that to flow in the photographs. Maybe I'll try a couple of shots on black and see how it goes :)

Hey old man, no need to magnify the pic's.. If you want to see it, I can send the wrapless one to you to see in person or even let you beat them up for me Lolz. Just let me know if you want me to ship it over.

I request the different ring work for the handle because if is the same ring work from joint to butt including the handle it will look too mass. Extracting part of the ring work from the other part to fill in the segment handle makes the cue flow more in my opinion. Also to compliment the wrap for this cue & the wrapless cue.

Kenny eye is sharper than eagle.
Btw..... Your pic's are too good that Dave message me complaining stop showing all his flaws.....Lolz.... J/K
