tip soaked in milk

If heat does destroy the casein chain, what about the difference between fresh milk and milk that has been ultraheated for the purpose of conservation? Is the milk that has been conservated by heat worse than fresh milk for making good milkduds?

Absolutely!! Pasteurization process causes some damage to the chains so fresh milk would be the better over store bought.... Just harder to come by for some of us than others.....

i actually thought about this.I wasn't really sure microwave was a good idea.i had it soaked for 24hrs and will dry for 48hrs then will press it.But how would i know if the tip is dried well?

You will want to Press it first before it dries.

It will be pretty much dry after the pressing, while it is still in the press. Not quite but just about ready. Just let it sit for a day after the press.

And you will know when it is dry. It will be obvious.

It doesn't take that long.

i've been pressing Tiger Emerald tips for about 3 or 4 years now. i soak it first for 2-3 hrs in Elmer's white glue mixed with a little water; then i press it for 2 days. never had any problems with delamination. i also use the exact same process with triangle, LePro, elkmaster and korea tips.
i tried milk before but it started to smell bad after a couple of hours of soaking.

i waited for 48hrs before i press it.I will see the result tomorrow.I guess i will do this on my next trial.

i soak my tips by not soaking them and instead just shooting drills during the time i would have spent doing wierd pool player shit like soaking tips in milk and squeezing them in a vice.

May I know why Elmer's glue?

it is water-based - i can mix the glue with water. this way the tip can easily absorb the mixture.
also, Elmer's does well with leather.

Jaypee, i learned this mixture from Vic Trinidad, also known as "pacman" in bilyar.net forums.
