Cyclop pool balls

Yay or nay on the Cyclop pool balls? Seems that there were some issues with the cue balls during the CSI ten ball event in Vegas. Thoughts?

There is some info in the link posted however one of the posts in that thread says
Aramith balls are something close to 58%. This is not true, not even close to true.

The competitor he was talking about was Cyclop Balls who claim their resin is made of 85% phenolic.

I don't remember any problems when Aramith balls were being used now it appears
there are problems.

I like mine so much I sold my Brunswick Centennials which I considered the standard in the industry.

I have owned the Aramith balls in the past. They will stay in my past.

Which cue ball do you use? It seemed to be the Cyclop cue ball that was causing the problems during the 10-Ball event.

Do you think it was just the cue balls they were having trouble with or the roll
offs with the cue ball were noticed because people are watching the cue ball closer ?

The focus certainly was on the CB, as that's the one we observe rolling to a stop most often. I didn't notice any odd rolls with OB's, except one curve into a corner pocket during an Am. Rotation match, and that could have been the table.
 
The Cyclop ball sets - both the standard and skittle versions - are in a word amazing. So much so that I use extra Cyclop cue balls for most other sets as well, since the weight is perfect - with perfect rolls. I still love my Centennials and Aramith Tournaments, but the Cyclop balls stay so clean and "seem" to have near perfect billiard ball characteristics. IMO, they belong in any enthusiasts collection. You will love them. Get the standard version first if anything though.
 
My only problem with the cyclops balls at the expo was the easter egg colors. lol I had to stop occasionally to make sure I was shooting at or shooting for shape on the right ball!!! hahah
