Nearing the end of my sixtieth year as a player, I think I've earned the right to name my all-time favorite player.

Easy. Efren.

He is both a genius and a gentleman.

Pretty easy question for me too. The 2 guys kind enough to put up with me when I was just a stupid kid with a bad temper, were Danny Barouty and Gene Nagy(R.I.P Gene). People don't get much nicer than those two. Yes indeed, I was a lucky boy.

Willie Mosconi, my buddy cousin. He was a class act, and Pool needs another great ambassador like Willie.

I have been searching and watching YouTube and trying to find a player with a style that I really admire. I like Dennis Hatch, Mika Immonen, Thorsten..

I have to name three...

Greatest straight pool player ever ... Willie Mosconi

Best 9-Ball player hands down ... Earl Strickland

Most legendary enigma ... Harold Worst

Alex for his relaxed attitude.
Dennis O. for his business like approach to the game.
Earl for his pocketing ability.
Eferen for his creativity and pocketing
SVB for his all around ability.

Efren Reyes
Shane Van Boening

and I've got to add Earl the Pearl to list because -- even though I don't like his outbursts, etc -- he's not afraid to be Earl.

Hard choice

I would have to pick Alex the Lion. The guy keeps it fun unless your his opponent. I have never seen Reyes throw a fit like many others. That pretty much goes for the the Pinoy players. Earl could have been if it was not for the poor conduct he has often shown. I like playing pool with gentlemen.

Efren...on and off the table, he's worth emulating. I can watch him play the ghost for hours and hours and never get tired of it.

Efren and Brumback. Efren makes the game look fun and exciting while never taking himself too seriously. Brumback is a nice, down to earth guy and shoots the banks like a demon, while still having enough self-control to play smart.

Appleton. He's so danged good, intense, exhibits professional behavior and is approachable. I've shared a few cold ones over the years with him and he's a blast.

Although he needs to learn how to duck punches, he sometimes jumps on tables when he wins.
