This is a "copy/tribute" that I made of an old Mali cue design. I have always liked one piece butts and sneakys. 30 inches. .850 at the joint. 1.27 at the butt. 15.5 oz. Not for sale at this time.
Looks more curly than birds eye-y
thats bc its curly eye you silly goose.
Looks more curly than birds eye-y
98% of all birdseye has two sides (opposite) that show mostly eyes and
2 sides that show a figure that looks a lot like curly but what you are actually
seeing is the eyes from the side, the eye figure is not just superficial, it goes
down into the wood and when you see it from the side it looks like a line.
Only on very rare occasions do you get eyes on all 4 sides of a square/cue.
The way I understand it is these squares come from the very center of a log
but I am not 100% on that.
Even rarer (practically non-existent) are (very) high figure birdseye squares
with eyes on all 4 sides. These make up maybe .01% of all the birdseye. I
happen to own a few squares like that and they are not for sale.
