poison. braks and jumps better, the players has a soft feel to it, although the four part construction of the players is great.
Poison VX series breaker seems to have a bad pin design and has failed (joint blowout) numerous times. The pin appears to be way too small for the break load.
I watched this happen to a friend when he broke and l posted about it here and got more responses about the same happening to others.

I've had my VX2.9 for @ 5 years. Some friends & acquaintences have too. I like mine a lot - never a problem.
My pool "sparring partner", AZ's EazyMoney, tried mine and liked it so much he bought one. He had a problem with the rubber grip where it unpeeled a bit. He got it fixed some time ago and has been using it for @ 4 years.
I never tried a Players...
Never heard of the pin issue KC mentions, but I trust his word.
Yea I was kinda thinking that just from looks the poison just looks more solid but I've never hit with either one what about when u break it down for jumping are they on the lighter side or front weight or back thanks
Was just looking for some thoughts and info on these does one jump and break better then the other? If u had both what one did u like better and why? Is one made better then the other? Ect Thanks guys
How often do you jump? If you routinely find yourself jumping I would prolly recommend getting a dedicated jump cue and a dedicated break cue. Jump/break cues are cool but I have never felt that they excel at jumping or breaking when compared to a dedicated breaker or jumper.
Its not that ifind my self needeing too jump all the time but there is times where the other player will leave me a jump shot. For example last week was at pool a pool tourney the player couldn't get out so he played great safe leaven me a kick or jump no jump cue so I kicked hit ball but left him open we were on hill I got second should have. Had 1st so my point is sometimes the jump. Is the shot just wanting too know the best out of these two
In that case I would probably go with the Poison. I have the jump version of the jump/break cue and it is actually one of the best. The only other jump cue I would get is a Predator Air (at least out of production cues).
Predator has a hand in the Poison line. I don't have the full story but I think Poison is supposed to be a less expensive version of Predator cues.
