Hello AZ people

I wanted to start an Instagram photo album of peoples
Pool cues and gear (cases, chalk holders, etc..)
If you are on Instagram post your pic and # tag it with
#mypoolstuffz .

It'll be nice to see what a lot of people are playing with.

Careful, folks. It's one thing to post pics of your stuff out on a dedicated pool forum. Instagramming pics and hashtagging the pic (which isn't possible in a pool forum) makes your stuff visible to a much, MUCH larger audience. Given this, and the fact that Instagram will gladly take and post the GPS coordinates that most cameras (especially cell phones cameras) embed in the pics themselves, and you've got very nearly door-to-door directions to your "stuff."

This warning would be better by mentioning geotagging can be disabled and they should refer to their manuals or tech help to learn how to do that.

The idea of billiard equipment pR0n is like food pR0n. Sounds nice and exciting. Probably some great ideas out there people don't know about.

Just do it from the pool hall and then people can come find you for a game

And that would only help to convey the idea that it's a good idea to post pics of your belongings to such a wide dissemination -- which I don't think is.

No, I do not support that idea.

Ah, name calling. What would a forum be without it? Sorry, I won't reciprocate. What I will tell you is that you'd be surprised what can be done with this information "all in the name of social networking." It's not conspiracy theory. It's what I do for my job.

Look, folks, this was just a public service announcement from someone in the information security field. I'm not here to partake in tete-a-tete oneupmanship.

You do what you want to do.

Really? Is that the best you can come up with? It's all about "look at me, look at me"?

You are right the foreign billiard equipment manufacturers will steal designs and make cheap knockoffs.

About 5 weeks ago in a thread discussing straight shots and their diffficulty or lack there of depending on the poster's opinion, I made a post where I said, in essence, that I was pretty darn good at them. I made a later post where I said that it was only right I back up my statements with a video, and while I wasn't sure I'd do that, I gave my word that my next post would be a video, or I'd never make another post.

I've been true to my word for 5 weeks. Given the subject matter being discussed, I hope I can be excused for making this post and not thought of as going back on my word.

I'm still thinking of posting a video on You Tube or Vimeo and posting the link on this forum. If I do it I'll be doing it with an IPad Air. I have many enemies in this forum. YOU'RE ONE OF THEM!!! Nevertheless; I respect your expertise if you're a pro in this field. If I post a video, what will you be able to learn about me other than I know how to hit a long, straight shot better than you?

WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT! This is a thread about posting photos
Of your equipment in Instagram.....go have your amature NSA briefing in another thread.
