I guess you haven't been to Vegas in a bit...

Best Billiards is closed. Club Charleston closed and is reopening under new management (with a new name). Not sure if they are re-opened, yet.

Which is "the place to play" in Las Vegas right now - this week? I have a friend going that needs the recommendation as well.

Club Charleston's new name is "Good Timez" not open yet though.
Good Timez will have
9 Diamond 9 footers
7 Diamond 7 footers
1 6X12 snooker table (set up for Golf)

If you are staying on the strip then Pool Sharks is a good place to go, but a ridiculous atmosphere of smoke during busy hours; it's worse than a casino. If you don't mind smelling of stale smoke, and the "cloud", then I'd go here.

I personally like Mickey's as it has less smoke and is not too far from the strip by car (it's a few blocks away from the wrong side of the airport). They have an assortment of table brands (first time I played on a Diamond was there). But if you're taking a cab from the strip it will rack up the mater.

As for Vegas Cue Club, as I've said in other threads, don't hang out in the parking lot if you value your life (a number of shootings have happened in and around that mall parking lot). Get in, play, and get out; don't mess around. Better yet, don't go there. Also, in my multiple visits, the balls are perpetually covered in tar from the cigarette smoke, they never ever cleaned them. I have not been there in a few years now, so maybe this has changed... I hope they finally fixed the bathroom into something better than a facsimile of a run-down highway rest-stop bathroom.

Eric don't take this the wrong way...

I lived in Vegas for over 18 months until last month..

Best billiards was closed August 24th until September 7th and opening under new management.

Club Charleston, Murphy mentioned 6 weeks ago it would be re-opening by now, so i thought it was open now..

This is the absolute truth. I went there in the early 90s and it was awesome. There were many more tables, and the place was really hopping. Lots of action. I went there recently and that area out of my comfort zone (it wasn't great back then, but the meth heads have really took over), they got rid of many of the tables, and it has really been run down. Kinda depressing for me to have been in there.

I was in Vegas a few weeks ago and both were closed, at the time. I stand corrected.

Thought i read here that X bought BB's tables? I suppose the new owner could have put in new tables if there is a new owner.
