I haven't been around much lately, been going through a divorce amongst other things but I had to share this beauty with the community. The cue appears to be from the early 60s, I've got a couple of ideas about the maker but I'll let the pictures do the talking.

My first guess may be Ginacue second Szamboti.
What is the screw? I had a very early Ginacue with an 5/16 x18 screw.

Rings and butt plate look like Gina. Maybe Tad.

I had a 60s Gina with the same ring on the butt.....
....but it had matching collars on the shafts and joint.
The shaft collars are the same as my 68 Joss....
...so I'm wondering if the shafts are after-market....
....both have 5/16 x 18 threads....Gina and Joss would intermix into the
early 70s.

I can't see Ernie not duplicating the ring work on any cue he made.

I've never seen an 18 thread Szamboti

It's that ring on the after-wrap, just above the butt plate....
....all the collar rings matched that pattern on my Gina.
My Tad, Gina, and Joss all inter-mixed....with 18 threads.

That is actually an 8 pocket billiardette table made around the 30s, I haven't found any information on the game that was played on it but it came with 10 black balls and the pockets are numbered 1-8. I use 1.5 inch modern mini balls and they barely fit in the hole, it makes it quite challenging but the table plays great(though it needs new felt).

The pin on the cue is indeed 5/16 x 18. The bumper is held in with an Allen head screw and both shafts are original. I think the forearm may be a Spain blank( looks like a short splice in the ebony grain)points are classic titlist colors as is the stitching on the butt, and are perfectly even on the BEM. There is no signature or markings present on the cue that I've found so if it's a Tad it is an early one.

It is indeed a Tad, had a great conversation with a fellow azer this morning who informed me of the cues recent history :) part of me wants to refinish the cue as the finish is pretty much gone but I wonder how that would affect collectibility for such an early Tad

I'm starting to think Tad also......vaguely recall those rings on an early one.
Refinish it and keep it....it's a beauty.
