I just quoted this same post in another thread concerning Schmidt gambling with 10 of the guys on the list.
Stevie would gamble with at least 8 or 9 of them too.
Building a *team* isn't about picking the 5 best singles players.

Because his confidence is higher than his game. Like I said, I'd back him against all of them.
Matchroom has much on the line to keep this interesting also. A blowout doesn't add up to huge ratings. So expect a couple of European seedlings in their corner also. Just to try to keep it respectful.
But, Hall and Bergman just may surprise every one. I think JS may be our weak link.
The whole team except for SVB is a mistake. Guess USA doesn't mind fielding the B TEAM
Yah, it almost seems like Mark's whole section process was a bit too ridged. May not have left enough room/flexibility to select players who get hot nearing the Mosconi Cup. Dechane certainly did and I think Sky did as well.
