Wondering about the ignore list

What happens when I put someone on my ignore list? Do I just not see what they write? Do they see what I write? If they do comment to me, does it look like I am just not responding because i don't see it?

I believe all your assumptions are correct. Also-If they start a thread, you will see the title and also all replies in the thread except his'.

I was wondering these things too. I wonder if quoted text from an Ignored user would be visible though since it's not dynamic? I would imagine it would be, so they would still be able to aggravate indirectly..

I don't worry about an IGNORE LIST, I treat everyone with respect & consideration. I believe that is what I get from the members of this community.

There may be some that disagree with some of my ideas, but they are probably DemoRats. I'm a RepubliCrat. We are all human beings.

They can't message you(or at least you don't see it), you don't see any rep that they leave, but if somebody quotes them, you will see it. As others said, you'll see that they made a post, but it just makes it a small blurb between other posts that "so and so is on ignore". Overall, it's a pretty handy feature.

Yeah you'll see it when they are quoted which thankfully with my main annoyance is rare.

I never had trouble ignoring someone even before I ever heard of an ignore list
but I am only speaking for myself.

Great feature. You can see what they posy if someone quotes them. I have no idea if it affects them reading your posts or if they even know you have them on ignore. I don't care either, the important thing is you don't waste your time reading their useless drivel. It's great for trolls, you don't risk getting drawn into their crap.

I stopped using the ignore list. Reason is because then I can't see what they write that needs rebuttal. I do like it though when others put me on theirs because then I can make my points without them seeing it and thus don't have to worry about the personal slurs they like to dish out.

When you put someone on ignore you still see anything that they wrote that was quoted. And some people will troll you by deliberately quoting people that they know are on your ignore list. So best is to not even tell people you put them on ignore.

I do miss super ignore which made the person being ignored totally non-existent to me on the forum.

But in the end I'd rather have the choice to reply when they write something stupid. I have found the will power to not respond more often and that is quite liberating.

Pretty sure a couple of people have me on ignore. They would repeat what I said 3 posts prior. JKing

I have over 30 on ignore and this is correct.

thats because you're such a crybaby....ohh wait, I'm honored to be on our ignore list!

If your skin isn't transparent thin, there's no need for an ignore list.

Do a Search for "Super Ignore" ... When you put it in place, you will never
see the Ignored User's replies in anyone's threads. Absolute Bliss.
I have at least two dozen A-holes 100% blocked and about to send
another one back to obscurity.
