DCC Ticket Advice Needed

I'm going to Derby City in January for the first time. I see that both General Admission and VIP tickets are offered. If I buy a VIP ticket (which I assume means a reserved seat only at the TV table), is it good for the matches on the other tables? If I go with the General Admission, what is the seating arrangement? Can I even watch the TV table with a General Admission ticket? The DCC website doesn't show anything.

You can watch everything with any ticket. The only thing is for the good matches on the TV Table you wont have much of a chance at a decent seat unless you have VIP Seats. You'll probably have to squeeze between 2 fat guys in the 6th row of the bleachers

Last time I looked at the DCC web site the VIP tickets were sold out. Should make your decision easier anyway :-/

Last year I went for the first time and bought general admission tickets.

I saw the Banks final, and the 9 Ball final. I sat in the bleachers for each event. My advice would be, do not sit on same side as the TV equipment and the players. I sat at this location on one match, and the ref and players can hinder your view.

I chose the bleachers on the long rail of the table for my seats for other matches on the TV table.

I'd also suggest you get to the bleachers early so you can be assured of getting a decent view that is high enough to look over the heads of the VIP ticket holders.

As others have said you can get into the tournament room with any ticket, and where you go once you're in there is up to you. The VIP and reserved seats in the Accu-Stats arena guarantee you a seat for all of the streamed matches. Otherwise it's first come first serve to the seats and you don't get to sit around the table and have your mug immortalized on Accu-Stats match recordings. I've never had a problem getting a seat if you time it right. I also like sitting up a little bit instead of lower so I can see the table layouts.

Go General Admission. Save the money for some side action. Also, Pack a lunch...The buffet is horrible.

The seating is good all over. 9ball finals may be difficult unless you get an early seat. I walked up to the bleachers 5 minutes before the one pocket and Bank finals and got a seat.

Not sure what the rates are these days, but the best value used to be to just enter one of the tournaments. Players get all access for all days plus I think a free spouse pass. And if you are lucky, you may draw one of your favorite players and have the best seat in the house for that match.

If you're gonna be there all 9 days that's the way I'd go for sure.

Those are just the tickets sitting around the table. There are plenty left otherwise.

I dont think that maneuver has the advantages it use to.
Not sure what you mean. I'm pretty sure the entry fee in the banks is cheaper than buying full day and night tickets each day. I could be wrong but I always understood that to be one of Greg Sullivan's ideas to make it a good idea to participate.
