Right now the For Sale section is a joke

It has nothing to do with the moderators. When users do what they want without respect for others, no amount of rules will fix it.

Currently, there are two members who have started 20 of the 25 threads on the first page. When users like billiardballs and Rush72 don't respect the rest, what's the point. Absolutely ridiculous to take over like that.

I agree. I'm not a seller but I would be pissed. The section needs better moderation in my opinion and they really need to crackdown for a little while at least so people get the point.

Have they broke any rules? I agree I do not want to see so many items for sale from the same couple of people but if they are following the rules the problem isn't with them. The rules need to be adjusted so people do not create so many for sale threads. If that is true your beef should be with the people defined the rules.

Most forums allow only 1 FS thread per user at a time. Sponsors get a separate section, or more threads.

My beef is with both selfish posters and the rules.

The whole flavor of the forums has changed A LOT over the last year or two. Many long-time members choose to no longer participate here, and their knowledge and enthusiasm was one of the things that use to make this such a special place. I hope we can find some way to get that back...

I agree with the OP.

If you are selling multipule cues, then make one thread and list them out. Many folks do that. One thread for each cue is bs.

1 thread per user at a time. Once item(s) sell close the thread. 1 bump by the OP every 2 days.

Problem solved.

I agree, and it's because of folks like this that we have to have more rules as folks refuse to police the selves.....

One sale per day per person seems more than fair if it is a diff item

Instead of no more than 1 thread per user at a time, how about requiring at least x days or weeks between starting new threads? Then you might have an older thread for an item that takes a long time to sell, but you could still start a new thread for a different item after, say, a couple weeks.

AND that is the problem.

Too many rules for a problem where, if a little common courtesy were exercised, there would be no problem.

Is there a way to not show threads started by specific user names? I like that when these users bump their many threads they will no longer go to the top and again fill up the front page.

I apologize for my bunch of threads.

I thought they were going ONLY on Panjo then I had to post in the FS forum.

I even checked and they weren't there and then they all PILED on at one time.

HOWEVER, IF I COULD'VE JUST BUMPED A FEW THREADS HERE AND THERE THIS WOULD NOT HAPPEN.

I try hard not to have more than 5-6 at a time.

Anyhow, sorry for the traffic.

Just a thought…

…in the German Forums we are allowed only 5 items at the same time (which is totally okay).

If we start a 6th item, the oldest one closes automatically!!! :yeah:

AND:
no other people can bump your thread – so the „bet it's a good player“, „great guy“, „would buy it if I had the money“ and other bumpedys won't happen! :idea2:

This is a great thing, cause if someone's interested, he can contact you by PM!

I want this..........

Sounds good to me as well. I mean, this IS NOT rocket science.

I like the idea of Panjo as other folks will see your ads. However, it isn't exactly a smooth process.

I feel like an as* for the 13 posts. That's why I owned up to it. Once again, sorry. Confusing stuff with ZERO instructions and I work for a tech company for F's sake.

Something like this can't be too difficult to implement. I like it, too. Very straightforward.

Zero instructions my ass... there is a post by Wilson on the 15th. You posted a ton of duplicates TODAY. The fact is you didn't READ the rules or you did and said screw it, I'll claim ignorance.

You and Rush72 should face immediate post deletions at a minimum.

Rules are rules.

This idea sounds excellent! Thanks

Wow. I read through the ENTIRE 3 pages of crap about it. It was full of people bit*hing and moaning that's it.

THE PANJO LISTING IS IN A COMPLETELY SEPARATE PART OF THIS WEBSITE CALLED CLASSIFIEDS. I OBVIOUSLY DIDNT SEE THAT THEY MERGE THEM WITH THE STANDARD WANTED/FOR SALE SECTION. PRETTY DAMN SIMPLE AND A PRETTY DAMN STUPID DESIGN.

THAT WAS MY ISSUE. I APOLOGIZED AND SAID IT WONT HAPPEN AGAIN.

SH*T HAPPENS AND I OWNED UP TO IT.
Lmao. \/
