All Japan Championships

Well, Ignacio and Chua are relatively new names compared to Chang, Wu and Souquet. I hope we see at least one of them in the live stream table which starts at 8 pm US EST tonight.

Ignacio finished in the quarterfinals of All-Japan last year, while Chua almost beat Chang Jung-Lin in the semis.

First session has just started (Souquet vs Chang). This is the link to the live scoreboard (last 16). I wish there is more than 1 table. I would have loved to see the Wu vs Ignacio match:

The final 16 bracket. There will be 4 sessions since this is the last day:

I love watching Wu play. I hope he goes far tonight so we can see at least one or two of his matches.

Ralf is one of the best tournament players in pool history, but I simply can't stand watching him play. It took him 6 minutes to shoot a fairly trivial safety. I know he was looking whether the combination was on or not, but come on.

So many good matchups at least 5 out of 8 but only 1 streamed - that's sad
Wu v Ignacio, Johann Chua v Sugihara Tadasu , Gallego v Li, Chang Yu Lung v Fu,
Lining v Oi and Chang v Ralf
At this stage , anyone can win whole thing though I think a Filipino or Taiwanese will win it :)

WOW. Jeff Ignacio has just eliminated Wu 11-6. Also, Johan Chua is through to the final 8. The pinoy young guns are carrying the torch for the Philippines.

As far as I know, both of them have not been shown on the tv table yet. I hope we get to see either one on the next session.

I agree

They don't have a shot clock in this tournament?

How old is Faraon? Have never seen him play but he just beat Orcullo and then Lo Li Wen so he must be very good.

I prefer to see Ignacio vs Chang/Fu next session which starts less than 30 minutes from now on the tv table.

So it is just 3 pinoys left in the final 8. The older ones, Lining and Gallego have bowed out already.

Faraon is 26. Ignacio vs Chang is a rematch of their China Open finals this year, that would be a great match

WOW. Jeff Ignacio has just eliminated Wu 9-6.
Actually, races are to 11, so the score must have been 11-6. That's a pretty convincing win by Ignacio. From what I saw of Wu yesterday, I didn't think it would be possible for Wu to lose by such a wide margin.

here's a selfie of these 3 Filipinos early this morning before the games. from left, ignacio, faraon and chua. glad they are now in top-8

It is a pity that Faraon and Chua have to knock each other out. The good news though is at least 1 pinoy makes it to the quarter finals.

The 3 most impressive players yesterday Wu, Lining , Sugihara lost tamely today
Shows how form changes in 1 day. :)
