*** Official Day Three Mosconi Cup Updates

I think Justin needs to get this point for the U.S. to have any reasonable hopes of winning. They'd have to win 6-1 or better if they go down 9-5.

The Europeans have the lag down, unreal how close to the rail they get each time.

No worries, just means that Neil has the first chance to dog it.

And away we go.

One in the side, cue ball and two ball past the side pocket. Tough starting shot to cut the two in the corrner or will he play safe? He does.

Ut oh, Matchroom has a telestrator.

He plays safe but leaves Justin the two. He made it like Gray....a miss that fell. Now he is out of line on the 3 and plays safe behind the 5. Easy kick for Neils.

Neil kicks at the 3 up table, hits it but the cue and 3 stay on that half of the table. Justin should be out in about 17.3 more seconds.

He fell a little funny on the 5 to the 7. Power stroke, stun shot and he gets shape but kinda flat on the 7. Cloth slips the cue ball in behind the 7 to follow it in and scratch as the English doesn't take.

0-1 bad guys.

Bench Schmidt to have any chance for Team USA

Schmidt not having the rolls on his side tonight...

Sounds like you might be making excuses for Schmidts bad play.Schmidt is 1-4 in the matches he has played in and if it wasnt for a 3/9 combo in the match he won he would be 0-5.
Rolls on his side? I continually see him missing balls and selling out and a huge liability for Team USA. If we are gonna win or have any chance than Team USA Captain needs to keep him off the table and out of the tournament room as he is being very negative and the rest of team needs some positive energy.

Agree on all counts.

Justin, one in the side on the break. Two also goes. He can't see the 3 which is blocked by the 9. He elects to roll out to the top of the table.

Couple of safety battles on the 3 now with each player letting the other see the 3 but not leaving a shot.

Neils tries a slight back cut of the 3, up the table. Misses and also scratches in the side. Justin again with an out to get a game in this match.

He is taking his time more now. 6 in the side. 7 in the corner to the 8 all the way back up table in the middle of the head string. 9 ball back at the spot. Looked it all over to avoid any 'unknown' scratches.

1-1

Everybody has to play nearly the same amount of matches, there is no hiding players like in the Ryder Cup.

Hey Corvette no takers?

of course not. All of these Eurotards come one here and spout out about how much better their players are and how Shane isn't the best, etc....but not a damn one of them will bet anything. Just like the European players against Shane, lol!

Neil with the 1 in the side and a much better shot on the 2 this time as he kept the cue ball below the side pockets. Good players adjust.

Has the two in the upper left corner pocket and the 3 in the middle of the bottom rail with a little traffic in the way.

He elects to go two rails and to the opposite side of the 3. He got lucky to get shape there, just brushing the 3 ball. Should be out.
