wow SVB forfeits match vs Alcano

Alcano has been calling the ten ball... It means he's following the rules.... Shane did not call the 10 .. you can't blame Alcano or the referee to call it a foul....i don't know why he walked out....

Wow! How can anyone stand up for Alcano in this situation???? It's obvious in the video he's a snake!!!!

Anyone that thinks this move mid match by Alcano was justified should have to grow a pedi stache like Alcano! Lol. What a joke!

shane tried something similar against john morra at derby banks. i dont see anyone else calling him out on it. he called a 4 rail bank but made it in a pocket in 2 then started picking the balls out of the pockets immediately like he had won. when morra called him out on it he was like oh yea i didnt call that shot and tried to put the balls back in place and continue the game lol.

shane getting up and forfeiting the match makes it easier to take alcano's side. although from my standpoint, it doesnt matter what alcano does. if the rules of the tournament is call shot on the 10 then you call it. also, there must be a specific reason alcano did it on this shot, maybe cuz the ball could go in 2 different pockets. if alcano really wanted to mess with him, he would have done it earlier.

he may have done it 3 times before with no consequence but the rule is still there. like if you shoot a ball but dont hit a rail after, it's a foul. if it isnt called 3 times in a row, it's still a foul the 4th time you do it and can still be called. also, he clearly knew this was a rule since he called the obvious 10 ball in the 2nd rack he won, so it's not like he even did it 3 times without calling it.

i understand he's mad but when a top player just forfeits a match because he's angry then you dont really need to wonder why pool has no sponsors. no other sport do you see guys just forfeit like that because they got mad and dont feel like playing any more.

Ha ha!

It must suck being the foreigner but at least they didn't allow a defeated player back into the tournament.

Agreed that may not have been one of Shane's finest moments, but (in red) did not happen the way you described it.

I don't see where the refs eyes ever looked at Alcano. He watched the ball, then went straight to Shane. Alcano didn't say a word until he got to the other end of the table.

So, why was Alcano up and out of the starting gates like a quarterhorse? He knew what the call was before the ref made it...because he told him to call it.

Yes, could you imagine the sponsors pouring in if had knocked his girlfriend out with one punch and dragged her from an elevator. Or raping his neighbor's daughter. Or selling drugs to school kids. Yep, guys like SVB are really letting the pool community down

The Ref just called a foul on Biado for not calling the 10 ball in hill hill match. That was about 3-4" from the pocket. The 10 ball should be spotted but the Ref moved the cue ball.

Biado's opponent, Pulpul, showed no class/sportsmanship with his antic after Biado not calling the 10 ball and the ref had no clue what to do and how to handle the situation..

A bit shocking development and situation-handling, especially after much publicized incident with SVB/Alcano match.

What a circus!!

Now have the Simon Says rules been a great help in preventing slopped in 10 balls or have they been a farce and turned the tournament into a joke?

The answer is clear-what tards over there! I thought the Filipinos respected the game.

Or because he knew the rules.

Why wasn't it called after Shane's first and third wins? Did the ref know the rules then? It is more than obvious the ref was not calling this rule earlier in the match, and he did later. And it is obvious he did so after Alcano complained about it.

Alcano's complain, if he ever did complained, was unfounded? What a loser, trying to play by the rules...

Why do some people try to find anything they can to beat up on SVB with, he didn't like what happened, so he decided fu** it, if it means that much to you you can have it, and broke down his cues. His choice, he did not curse, cry, or throw things and make it big deal, he simply made his point. Get rid of this calling shots, there is luck in any sport, tennis, the ball hits the net and drops over, football, fumbles. There will always be luck in pool, that is just the way the ball rolls, so get rid of calling any pockets, if it goes it's good. Let the refs do their jobs, like, watching for bad hits and, watch for sharking and unsportsmanlike conduct. Just the way I see it.

The situations were not even close to similar and if you didn't see anyone call him out on it then you didn't know where to look.

Shane's behavior is known to many.
