Hey there AZers,

I really like the Kamui 0.98 light blue color chalk. But they are too expensive, is there any other chalk u guys know that has this color? I've got a lot of blue or dark blue chalk but looking to buy some with this color. Kamui is too expensive as I chalk every shot.

Sorry buddy, the only thing I can think of is the Triangle snooker chalk, that`s a little lighter i colour.

Masters made/makes light blue chalk. I recall it being given as prizes on the Gold giveaways here. I'll see if it's still made and link if I find it.

Found this: http://www.pooldawg.com/product/master-chalk-box-of-12-cubes/

It shows the color options Masters has available, and the Sky Blue is supposed to match Simonis Tournament blue better than Masters' traditional dark blue color.

I just bought a box of this online, so it was available as of a few weeks ago. I do find that it is much less noticeable on the Tournament Blue cloth.

From the pooldawg color chart, the "Green" chalk certainly looks a lot closer to Simonis Tournament Blue than either of the blue chalks.

Anyone have experience with it?

Can I ask why you are looking for a lighter shade of blue for chalk? Cue related or cloth related ?

Most chalks are blue or dark blue. They dirty the ferrules. My pool hall has blue cloth, so the only chalk I can use is blue. But the dark blue makes cues and ferrules messy. And I realized I tried some kamui 0.98, the light blue doesn't mess up the table unlike tan, red, yellow which are very visible on blue table cloth and light blue also does not dirty the ferrule as bad as the regular blue ones. :)

timothysoong...The ferrule only gets dirty if you don't know how to chalk correctly...and that will happen with any color chalk. Brush the chalk on gently, instead of grinding a hole in the chalk, and you won't have a problem with dirty ferrules, regardless of what color you use.

It's not for me. It's for my pool hall cause my customers dont know how to chalk. I do maintenance for all the cues at the end of the day, and I have to clean off so much blueing everyday. :(

Assuming the ferules are white, the only color chalk that will solve your problem is white. Any other color is going to stand out against a white ferule...some more than others, but they all will.
