I just got back into pool after being out of the loop for around 7 years and have been seeing a lot of the familiar names I liked to watch and read about back in the day (SVB, Earl, Efren, ect.). Recently I reread Danny's biography and got to wondering what he is up to these days but his wikipedia pretty much gives no information since 2006. Did he get out of the pool game?

He hasn't been active on the professional scene in something like 10 years. He might pop up once in a while locally, from what I've heard.

According to the Kid Delicious FB page - he is struggling to find wrok.

He made a come back about 5 years a go. I saw him play in the pro event at the expo.

Danny used to be my favorite player to watch as a teenager. He gave all of us big guys a little hope that we could play at his level one day. I'd like to see more of Danny at the table.

Took a lesson from him in mid 2013. Fun guy to hang out with. Although he was still a celebrity and many people were coming up to him.
Said he wasn't playing much but a few people wanted to gamble with him. Was dealing more in baseball cards and sports collectibles.
Couldn't tell he wasn't playing as I don't think he missed any shot he showed me, unbelievable talent and very mobile for a big guy.
By the way, the lesson took place in Tacony Billiards which I tried to go back to in 2014 only to find they have closed. Lots of history in that place.

Glad to hear he still plays! His story regarding the anxiety/depression was something I could relate to and the escape he found at the table was nice to read about, happy to hear he is still doing relatively alright and can still play a bit.
