Hennessee vs Bergman in the finals. Bergman has to win twice.

After the motorcycle accident it looked like it was over for Jon for awhile and it was but he's back.
I never knew Jon personally but there is a story here for sure.
Anyone that has been banged up like he was and tried to play again and get back on the big stage again would understand.
This guy has shown the whole pool world a ton of heart for sure.
If I'm walking through an alley and get jumped by a bunch of guys I want this guy on my side. I know he would be right there with me until neither one of us could move. He would never give up.
Heart for sure. Pure and simple.
Just do it and get it done................

He isn't living his life pain free right now. Do you even know how bad his accident was? I think it is a miracle that he even survived. Obviously he wants to play his former speed but if he is having a bad day physically I don't think you can say he has no heart.

I saw this and bought this plaque about 30 years ago.
It said, never judge a man unless you have walked a mile in his moccasins.
To break your neck and endure the pain you had to just to get functioning again is tough enough.
But to play at the level you did and try to get there again is even tougher.
The inner battle is tremendous. You still feel like you can but just can't seem to get there. You still live with the pain but keep pushing. Just trying to sleep with your head on the pillow is a challenge. The pain is still there every night.
Even driving the car is tough especially when you have to try and turn the head to back up. And maybe you can't even turn the head. Too painful.
I'm just touching on a few of the challenges.
Then you drive 8 hours to get to a tournament to play many of the best players in the country. You try to sleep but the neck is so sore it won't let you.
There is Power One pocket, Power 9 ball and just flat out Power Pool.
This my friend Power Heart at it's best. This is all about overcoming something that at first seems impossible.
You don't even need to put on Jons shoes to see what he goes through on a daily basis.
Just follow him around for only a day.
You might even wonder how he even got to the tournament or why?
Just think about it?

yes he is a grate player seen him play many times but when you quit and could very possible win the tournament and some one has there money on you in the Calcutta that is one of the things wrong with pool today no trust the players wonder why there is no money in pro tournaments well you cant trust the players look back at the challenge of champions and the buddy hall scandal I used to buy in to a few small Calcutta un till I got thrown in the river by the hall owner /tournament director and two players owner told the player I bought to dump and he would let him off the hook for some money he owed and i lost a 100 bucks there are many stories like this and pool is in the gutter because of things like this

I dont THINK it was a medical issue I think it was because he got mad about something just my opinion but many players dump for reasons unknown and it messes up side bets Calcutta and pool in general thats one of the reasons our sport that we all love has a bad rep I like hennesse he is not the only player to do this I am just venting a little I had no money on him or any other player at river city just stating my opinion but I was there and I dont think he bought him self in Calcutta
