Did Jerry Franklin ever make shafts for non-SW cues? I have a Hoppe Pro that supposedly has a Franklin shaft made for it.

Shaft was unchalked with a full ivory ferrule. Plays extremely well.

Has a double black linen collar to match the cue it was for. Has the matching Hoppe pilot. Perfect fit and finish.

I'm sure he did, but it's more likely that an existing Franklin shaft was retrofitted to the Hoppe.
 
Really tight work, feels like a compression fit into the brass joint. Impressive shooter all the same.

Back in the 80's they may of done some non-SW stuff, but I've never seen one.
I'll bet someone like Jerry Rauenzahn could take my extra Franklin shaft and match it nicely to a Hoppe butt.

Not trying to be be a smart ass, but how do you know an un chalked shaft plays extremely well? I may be missing something and it wouldn't be the first time.

Because I went ahead and chalked it and played a few racks. I was extremely surprised by how easy it is to play with.

It's not for sale, I just meant that I acquired it in unused condition. Didn't mean for that to sound like every other goofy post in the Sale forum.

I corrected the top post. :)
