Alex just CRUCIFIED Efren

35 minute blowout. Efren probably shot an .875 and got run out on 3 times handily. Alex is in beast mode.

After what Alex did to Scott Frost in their fairly big money match I am of the mind that Alex might just be in the running as the best 1-pocket player on the planet. His is a name not normally thought of when thinking of 1-pocket players and who is the best of the best, but he seems to be pretty freaking solid at the game when the stakes get high enough.

That's a fair point. I doubt too many people bark at Alex for a game.

After watching a lot of different players, I think Alex, when he's in gear, is a ball better than anybody! Period! End of story! The only game he may have issues with would be straight pool, but something tells me if he played more he would be the best!

I believe to say who the best player is, you have to play more than just one discipline!

I would love to see an all around with Alex and Shane for like 50k to bring the beasts out.

9 ball, 10 ball, One Pocket, Straight Pool.

When Alex wins back to back DCC one pockets, then we can talk..

come say that again when Alex wins back to back DCC one hole tourneys.

Only two people have won back to back DCC one holes....One is the current best player on the planet and the other is arguably the best to ever hold a cue..

Alex has ran a lot of hundreds at straight pool...
The game he is not competive at is three cushion billiards.....

....the no-talent mooch....:)

You must not follow pool much.

Alex is definitely one of the best all around players today. He would have a good chance to beat anyone in a high stakes match! Go Alex!!

Another stellar post from BeiberLvr, chock full of information and explanations on his opinions. Keep em coming BL, you are truly an asset to this forum, I do not know if I would even come here to AZB if not for you and your award winning posts.

Now I'm not by any stretch a hugger of Shane ,, but for the big cash in a long race ,, Shane has to be at least the 8/5 favorite

True. Not sure how anybody can doubt Shane now. I'm not a huge fan of Shane, but I have tremendous respect for his ability. He might end up being the best player ever at the rate he is going.

Shane is grrrrrreat player, but I personally feel like Alex has the slight edge as an all around. Now, hands down, Shane got the 10-ball all day long! But I'm talking all around! Alex has a slight edge.

But, as I say this, they will go back and forth forever and a day those 2! But if you out them up in a high stakes game, long race and all around, Alex will come out on top more than Shane. Just my opinion:)

I wouldnt bet on Shane giving Alex 30 games in a race to 100, although I would bet on Shane to win 8 races to 100 before Alex wins 5 races to 100 at this point in their careers.

Sorry that you were absolutely clueless to make the statement that Alex isn't thought of as one of the best one pocket players. He's top 5 for sure (possibly top 3), and there isn't a soul in the world jumping up to play him for big cash.

My advice, stick to what you do best, and make post after post about how 8 ball should be the game the pros play. Despite the fact they never play safe, and run out like water.
