I'm psyching myself up to recloth my table for the first time with Simonis and I'd like your feedback as to problems you've ran into and mistakes that you have made that I could learn from.

Background: I'm reclothing a 7' valley bar box. I'm buying the rails precovered so they are done. I just need to put the Simonis on the slate. I plan on using spray adhesive and following the instructions shown on the Simonis Installation DVD.

I'm not a mechanic but I've covered a few Valleys. Your rails are done so the really hard part is done. Follow the DVD and be ready for some skinned knuckles if its your first cover

Make sure and scrape the multiple layers of glue off of the slate that the last ten people who recovered it didn't. We recovered two tables recently and filled a plastic shopping bag up with old glue from them.

Glue on your fingers and touching the felt on the finished side
I'm not a mechanic but recovered some tables and all of the bar boxes I've done it helps to lift the slate up on both ends and have someone slide a 2 bye 4 under the slate to elavate it till your finished. Good luck with your refelt
