Life....The Thing That Happens Between Tournaments

Exactly. And we can all come together and leave all that stuff behind us. Not to mention, our political and religous philosophies can be left at home. People from all different backgrounds, whether they are rich or poor, white or black, skinny or fat, we can all come together and just play pool.

That's pretty cool.

That reminds me of a bar I used to play in many years ago. The only place I ever saw like it. Had the lounge in the front, then about ten bar tables in the back of the room. They always had some kind of lounge singer on stage. The first table was the money table. Ten dollars a game. (good game back in the late 70's)

Had all walks of life in that place. Was strange to see Hells Angels members playing guys in suits, and everything in between. Never a problem in that place at all. We were all there just to play and for the action.

While I do understand what you mean I don't believe you grasped what I intimated by my post. For some that is our only world.

Yeah I missed that one. Thanks for the correction. I can't even imagine a life lived only in the pool world. I can barely make it through a weekend.

My break from "reality" is going to Burning Man. Pretty sure that's a different world than most people's day jobs.

You don't have to decompress from going to the pool hall or work quite the same way that you have to after living in a desert while at a rave for a few weeks.

Burning Man sounds pretty intense. That has to feel like a whole different world....scratch that.....a whole different universe.
