Vitalie tables

Looking for information on Vitalie tables....considering buying one. They look pretty nice. Where do they stack up quality wise and how do they play? Thanks.

If you are looking for a piece of furniture more than anything then they are very nice, and well built. BUT, playability is not there, they do not stack up to a Diamond , Brunswick or Olhausen. If you get serious about the game then you won't be happy with the way Vitalie plays. And they are pricey as new, but can be bought cheap as used because the players don't want them.

I have a Highpoint, which is another brand made by and owned by Vitalie. The quality is fine, I've had it 6 years with no problem. I wish it had 6 legs instead of 4 because it has developed a very slight roll, but otherwise fine. The roll could be fixed by re-leveling the table, but I don't want to spend the money.
I think it plays as well as any other table. I'd have a Diamond if I had the money, but I don't. I don't think you'll be disappointed with Vitalie.

I am going this weekend to check out a Vitalie table that is about as old as this thread, but has seen very little use since then.

Looking for opinions about Vitalie tables, their quality, and their playability. Anything in particular that I should be looking out for?

I'm bringing a ruler to measure pocket width, a protractor to measure pocket angle, and of course a camera (phone).

Vitalie pool tables are high end furniture tables. This includes Sterling models. They are all hardwood with wood to wood connections. Not metal brackets with insert nuts. The only problem I see with them is the cushion rubber they used. It seems they would buy up any rubber they could find. I have seen Imperial Masterspeed, AMFast, Championship and unknown brand cushions on these tables. It is like putting the cheapest tires on a Ferrari. I reccommend these tables. Just have it set up by a qualified mechanic.

I wonder why they would do that when a quality set of cushions is not that expensive?
Such a shame to do that to such great looking tables!

All I can say is the tables I've played on the angles were really good.
Take PoolTable911 advice. He knows more than anyone in this thread.

If I remember right they did make a somewhat commercial table.
Which one are you looking at? I'm sure there's different grades.

Here is the table. Definitely not a commercial model, but the old lady really likes the look of this one so I'm gonna go check it out.

That's my plan with any table I settle on. I'll take it apart and move it, then set the frame up and call a good mechanic to come do the leveling, seam sealing, cushions, cloth, etc.

Everything I find about Vitalie online tells me they made quality tables. It's a shame they couldn't stay in business.
