I hear a lot of mention of these cues.. I was wondering if there were any Identifying marks on the cues or just knowing when the cue was bought classify them as Runde Era.

Thanks..

Schon

The way the S is wrote in the word Schon on the butt. Plus sharp points, they made cnc points from late 1988 to 1992 Bob was their but don't think he had much to do with building the round pointed cues. Then Evan Clark took over in 1993 and Bob left schon. Hope this helps answer some questions.

Sadly, you can not always rely on the Schon logo to identify an early cue. Many of them have had the butt caps replaced, by Schon, after Bob left and the have the new style logo.

I have several 1980's sharp pointed Runde cues in my collection with the modern logo butt cap. The previous owners sent them back to Schon for refurbishment and unknowingly lost the original Schon logo by doing so.
They should put the original script style logo back on the vintage cues. Very disappointing if you ask me.

Thanks!!

As a guy that looks for good deals on cues, I need to know what to look for. Thank you

I have done as much research as I think is possible on this subject, become a Schon Dealer and a customer of Bob Rundes, if you have a question feel free to PM me. THx

Customer of Bob Runde? I was under the impression that he retired from building cues...

Yes Bob still is making cues, not a ton but yes he is. You would need to know him or someone close to him though from what I know.

He is also VERY close to retiring as well from my in the know guy (his best golfing buddy)...
