Meucci Cue In For Repair - Ivory?

Hey Guys,
I got this Meucci in for repair - the butt cap came unglued. I got to looking at it closer - is it ivory or old plastic? I don't see much ivory in this part of the world, so I'm not familiar with it.
Thanks for any help or ID.

Easy way to test if it is ivory is to take a needle and heat it up with a lighter until it is red hot then poke the suspected ivory somewhere inconspicuous. Like on the inside of the butt cap. Then if it smells like burning hair, (or teeth being drilled) it is ivory, if it smells like burning plastic its plastic. if it smells like burning flesh remove it quickly because you just poked your hand. In my honest opinion it is 99.9 % chance it is plastic though.

Speaking of Meucci, I have an old gambler from the late 80's and often wondered what kind of plastic is in the points. It has a nice grain to it very similar to ivory and I would love to acquire some of this material. Does anyone know what it is?

When I went to buy a bunch of materials from the closing down SweetWater cue factory years ago, they had a bunch of that material, and he called it PVC. So I am guessing it is a special made PVC that Meucci has made.
