Reminds me a bit of back when I was fixing antique violins. I'd hit shops all over the Northeast, and the owners would show me there latest "finds" that they had unearthed from unspecified places. I'd look at the thing and say to myself, "Yup. Saw this fiddle last month hanging on Buzzy Levine's wall."

Then a month later another of my repair clients had the thing, with the same story of some mysterious origin. These fancy beauties would have pretty fancy retail prices attached to them, but in reality they got swapped back and forth for years sometimes, with nobody actually selling it. They'd try to get me to join in their little trading games, but I always passed, choosing to get the sure money for fixing them. Despite all the hard work they put into it, the only ones I saw making any real money on them was me, the UPS guy, and the auction house.

I'm sure the same goes on with cues at times.

About 10, 15 years ago around here there was a TS that seemed to find a new owner every few months. Probably traded hands at least four times. It was really nice and I even thought about buying it but got distracted by another cue.

Punter, you seem to take great delight in determining peoples motives for posting virtually anything !.. You have done the same thing to me several times !..I must ask, what is YOUR motive, for butting in with YOUR evaluation of anyone's position, on ANY given topic, whether it concerns you or not ? :confused:...Its a shame you can't see, that you are taking 'people bashing' and 'butting in', to a new low !.. But, obviously you cant help yourself.. I suspect that may just be an inborn Chicago (originally Bensinger's) trait, huh ?..So carry on ! :(

I'm certainly not the only that sees this thread shows Lou's need for attention.

Spoke with Fred many times via PM, as did many others. If you don't believe me, you can see what Steve B and Steve L had to say about it in the recent thread concerning you. No matter how much you want too, you can't magically change the facts, and make it seem like you made amends.

Please look for someone else to argue with Dick, I don't like bumping this ridiculous thread of Lou's anymore than I already have.
