Fayatteville NC, what's there for pool?

The issue with that is that it lists just about everything with a pool table as a pool room, with no info from players. I've posted a few times for a forum suggestion for AZB to create a member run dirctory where we can have current reviews of the rooms by the locals in each state instead of relying on web searches that come up with rooms that have been closed for 10 years or have 2 tables with rat chewed cloth.

sounds very manageable

I used to end up there a long time back.

Wonderful Place to get scammed and Mugged. If it doesnt look right dont go in but if its action you seek, you will find it, you might find more than you want. Go with a friend and watch what you are doing and what who is asking you to play.

Dont go to the large public rest room with the money in your pocket and keep a friend close by if youre gambling.

Thats my take on the place. Somewhere else is my pick.

Violence and crime is often high in Fayetteville, but that isn't because of military. Locals are your much more likely to mug you than a military member. Today the military has to recruit to meet higher training standards with more technological weaponry. Still, I do know that soldiers and airmen get into their share of mischief tho.

That said, as far as pool in that area is concerned, you can't go wrong with a trip to Brass Tap in Raleigh. That is the traditional powerhouse in NC pool world over the past 25 years.

According to GoPlayPool, in Fayetteville there is both a CJ Billiards and a Wiley's Grill and Bar, is that our CJ?

Looks like we got a trip to Brass Tap lined up for sure and Little Reno.

There looks to be a tournament in Little Reno but I don't know if that is a weekly, anyone know if it's still happening? The post was in 2013 on facebook for it.

Check our High House Billiards or Break Time in Cary, NC. Both are child friendly. HHB has Gold Crown's, and Break Time is all 9' Diamonds. If you search "Lone Wolf Pool Network" on Facebook you can find some little weekly tournaments around here, and the kid can play in those as well.

Let me know if you come out this way, and we can hit some balls.

I'll be in NC Monday after SBE. We're heading to PA for the weekend then on to Fayetteville. Send me a PM with your # and I'll contact you for a tour :)

Just looked up Cary, it's about 1:20 away from where we'll be, that may be a bit long to drive unless there is something else in the area to see.

Not long till we leave on our trip to PA then to NC, looking forward to seeing the area and meeting anyone that sent me a PM with their contact #

Very exited about the trip, especially since it's the first one we have taken for more than a few days with the whole family.

I don't mind driving out of town, but that's where we're going, my daughter is married to one of the military town folks LOL

She did not say the place was shady but she may not have gone to the places pool players may have gone to ;)

Since you're in NC, any recommendations of a place within an hour drive from there to go to with a 15 yr old?

Raleigh is your best bet. Quite a few good rooms in Raleigh.

Breaktime wilmington

Update for anyone who thinks it gets "rough" at breaktime in wilmington nc late night.
That place is a family establishment. As for action you can find some if you come looking.
They have a great staff as well as security around the clock for any a**holes that annoy you. Great food and tables are in good condition. For $3.00 an hour you can't beat it. Plus it's one of the best pool rooms in a 250 mile radius. Friday night is 8 ball tourney ...starts at 8:30. Usually a big tournament once a month.

Little Reno is a great place to go and play in Fayettville N.C. I go there a lot. It has (5) 9 ft Diamonds (2) 9 ft Brunswick's with 1 tripled shim and 1 bar table. There is plenty of room around the tables.Mouse has recently covered most of the tables in there. Telephone number is 910-483-9611 and is operated by a guy named Mouse.
