I responded to his post above about contributing to the game of pool.
I said we can have Mark Griffin decide who had contributed the most to pool. He admits he likes SJD, and he does not know me, so there can be no complaints about the judge.
Mark makes the call, plan and simple. No second guessing, no appeal process, NOTHING. If he says SJD, I ship $1K his way. If he says me, I get the same shipped my way.
We both can present our written argument to Mark, and he can decide. I'm sure, as much as Mark has done for the game of pool he would be able to decipher who has done more in his professional opinion.
I will abide by Mark's decision. I will POST up today to Lenny. I mean, I'm a nobody in the pool world, right? How could he not JUMP on this bet
Define "contribution." Just in terms of money and action injected into the game, which Greg Sullivan celebrates every year at the DCC; pure reputation as a great player; and simply by his induction into the onepocket.org HOF, I'd say you'd need some pretty big bona fides to be in the mix. Supporting your local Boys Club of America and your dad owning a room is not going to cut it.

He's already back out. And I spelled it quite clearly in a prior post. And no, Greg Sullivan does NOT have an award for the person who does the most for pool. I believe that is the action award for who gambles the most during the DCC.
Those two are NOT the same.
Thus why we would need a bonafide judge to say who has done more for pool. SJD hustling some suckers and air barreling some other sucker, is not gonna cut it either.. How did that promote or do anything for the game of pool It didn't do anything except put money in his pocket or someone's else's.
You can have his action if you want. but this is not who won or lost the most money gambling, cause that would be Artie, but who has done more for pool in general. That was the question.

Well, if you are going to be SJD's mouthpiece, and defender, you should at least read the posts.
It was clearly in post #52 for all to see, except you. so, to be fair, you are defending him and already putting up an argument against me, without really knowing what the hell is going on ?
Again, he's backed out already but you can have his action. It was simple, who's done more for pool, who's helped more, who's contributed more to the game itself, including promoting pool.
He called me out, I only asked him to back it up with cash. Nothing really difficult about it.
And if you think HOF is enough for SJD, than you are already losing the bet. That did nothing for the game...it helped nobody, it did not promote the game. If that's all he got, I can see why he backed out.

And what I meant about GS is that that one of the central purposes of the DCC (and the late SC) is to celebrate the hustling and the gambling life. It is something Greg and I have talked about numerous times.
It's not about an award it is the reason for the whole event. It's why he supports onepocket.org honoring road agents and hustlers from the past who would otherwise never garner the recognition and honor he feels they deserve.
You should be careful about who you nominate to judge your "bet." Depending on how they define "contribution" you could lose.
