Let's see all the cue purchases from Super Billiards Expo. Any cue bought at SBE will do.
Time to show what can be bought at SBE for those that can not attend. Cases are fine too.

Here is a Steve Dunkel that was waiting for me. Loaded with copper and brass.

Hey Murray
She can`t put venison in the freezer with that pink case.
Good talking with ya sir. Keep taking those kids of yours to deer camp & LL games, they go up way to fast.

Nice Dunkel! I'm hoping this thread turns out really nice, too. I wasn't able
to make it up there, but I'm hoping a thread like this will be the next best thing.
Congrats on the Dunkel and all the other nice pick ups you made at the SBE.

My only purchases were beer and a case for my daughter.

Even though I couldn't make the SBE, Murray, I was still able to make a deal
on a 4 point, 4 veneer 2012 Tucker. I should have that baby in my hands by
Wednesday or Thursday. If it plays anywhere near the neighborhood of my
plain Jane rosewood Tucker, it'll be a beast.

Changing scene

From what I was told 8 cue makers that had booths last year were not here this year.

From what I was told 8 cue makers that had booths last year were not here this year.

Of course that could be for a number of reasons:
- the market/the economy,
- overall cost to attend (Booth/Travel/Lodging/Meals),
- workload kept them in the shop,
- not taking any new orders.

I love the one with the purple veneer
purple is one color that's pretty underused in cues but looks great to me

im having a cue built right now with a flamed birch that's dyed purple
and im liking it already

The problem with that cue is that it is a Scruggs that was being built for someone else and was never completed. When that person found out that i had the blank I gave him my word that I would have Cory Barnhart finished it and sell it to him. Wish he wouldn't buy it but it doesn't look good. Cory did a perfect job on this cue.

I picked up 4 new ones and ordered 3 others and still working on a few deals. I know my friend Jamie picked up his Holy Grail for his ebony on ebony collection but I 'll let him post it . Overall a very productive weekend having a great time with friends . I think I gained a few pounds from all the dinners at Maggiano's and Sullivan's . Will post my pics tonight.

My expo pickup

Picked this Lambros up from Kenny

That looks exactly like a Lambros that Mike made me 20 years ago. I had black linen though. Loved that cue but sold it to a friend in Charlotte that lived next to Ric Flair. Nice pickup.
