Great white >>>>>>> deep blue

OK I know I owe chalk to some of you from December because of the issue a few of the batches had where they turned out flaky.... Turns out when you buy a reconditioned mixer sometimes the speeds are not what they should be according to the settings... We were whipping the chalk and introducing air into the mixture... Great for making bread or cake... Not good at all for chalk......

With that said... Chalk is back in the store so that means if I owe you LET ME KNOW... I will dig thru the archives and email and try and find everyone but if I miss you don't get mad =D

Going forward we will be in R&D mode so supplies will be limited each week because "Deep Blue" is now on the front burner...

I have the artwork done but the name can change... Just like everything else we have done if you have a name you like better than "Deep Blue" for our chalk pipe up... If we go with your idea I'll make sure you get some product... HammerHead gift pack is going out this week now that we are home from the Expo.....

Would that be a blue chalk? While it worked well, it wasn't the bit of flaking that bothered me as much as it was the white marks it would leave on the table. If you do some blue, I'll be sure to check it out. Gave the second one to a friend, so i need to follow up to get his feedback.

Now who would make a chalk and call it "Deep Blue" if it wasn't blue... I had a request to create a blue for one of the bigger industry companies... We were not going to do blue until year end but it is what it is....

The Mako would be called a Blue Pointer. There's also the Blue Shark which is in the order of ground sharks.

I was thinking the same thing, stay with those great shark labels.
the blue shark can look very cool and sleek.

I dig the "deep blue" name with a blue shark on the label or a mako (which is part of the makerel family of sharks and looks like a mini great white and also very cool)

Aloha

If your talking Blue and Pelagic, this is what comes to mind for me. Sharks are not much associated with blue.

This is a release flag for those that are unfamiliar with big game fishing. There are a myriads of colors for the different species of fish. The Shark flag is red, and may not do you any good. But if you ever decided to make different color chalk in the future, this may work for ya.

They also have a tag and release flag for all the Hustlers out there that like to get someone on the string. If you need some hook ups, drop me a line. "Pun intended"

Maybe even give Pelagic a call, they sponsor plenty tournaments, who knows they may sponsor some chalk too, and then a tournament.

Aloha

Just me, but I think the entire idea of having a fish on chalk seems sorta incongruous. Best of luck however.

I don't know if you do this already, but I'm a fan of the perforations Kamui puts in their chalk label to peel it away as the cube wears down. I don't know why more chalk makers do this.

Keith the perforated labels are brilliant and we will eventually incorporate the idea

I have been harping for years that nobody makes chalk in a color that is anywhere near to matching Simonis Tournament Blue cloth.

If not trademarked, I would suggest:
"Tournament Blue"
or the resonant "Tourny Blue", correctly spelled "Tourney Blue", or
"Tour Blue", or the similar
"Pro Blue" or "Pro Tour Blue"

"Cue Blue"
or to simulate an Oriental theme: "Ku Blue"

Of course, seeing as how it will decorate shafts in the future you could call it
"Blue Cue Goo"

But I really like "New Blue" which could become "New Blue II" in the improved version.

Also consider:

Moderne: "Crewe Blue"

Religious: "Pew Blue"

Native American: "Sioux Blue"

New Orleans: "Rue Blue"

Fraternity Party: "Spew Blue"

This dressy one was donated by some chubby gal outside the local Democratic Party headquarters:
"Blew on Blue"

With any of these names, I am sure sales would soar into the Blue.

However, the price for my idea generation is a lifetime supply of the new chalk, which for me is about eight cubes, pretty cheap if I do say so myself. So don't use any of my ideas without sending the first year's fee.:D

Blue Whale

Aren't Whales known for blue more than sharks. Blue Whale or Blue Whaler. Something like that.

Different logo with a toddler at the table: Little Boy Blue

Sold in 2-packs that snap apart: Blues Brothers

New shape: Spherical chalk..... Blue balls.
