I never thought I would..........

The Game in |Mental

ever say this.......

But, as my game changes, I see areas that I need to improve in and have to assume that others need improvement in these areas and while I could just as easily post my threads in the Main Forum, I am just wondering if there would be a large enough interest to start a sub-forum for THE MENTAL GAME.

Like most people, I occasionally have difficulty dealing with distractions, focusing etc. and I have made efforts outside of this forum to deal with this as well as many other things that deal with THE MENTAL GAME.

Is there an interest by others to have a sub-forum for these type of threads or should I place those type of threads in the Main Forum?

Just curious.

This game is mental and those who play it are mental, so now you are telling me that there is a Mental Game tooo!.....Nooooo! Does it ever stop?

Welcome back to the forum Danny. Hope you are doing well.

Even today, when tournament directors are present and watching the matches, I see very little admonishment of bad behavior and seldom ever see a bona fide penalty for bad behavior in a match. Today, the players might not know how to act if a tournament director corrected their bad behavior. lol

Maybe we need more women like the one in the following video acting as referees and tournament directors. (I voted her MOTHER OF THE YEAR)

If the players had ref's as they DID in the past then we would not have to worry about some player trying to shark us. The players of today would not know how to react if the ref (with white gloves) reached down and got the bridge for them.

Thanks Joey - your one of the good guys.

Joey,

The idea is great, somehow the implementation rarely works. The 14.1 forum here I think is a notable exception. I don't know though, I never go there!

A quiet corner where serious people can have a serious discussion always seems like a good idea but there seems to be a certain tipping point for traffic. More traffic and a subforum is successful, not quite enough and it just fades away. Plus once there is the special forum for a subject then starting a thread on the main forum gets a person howled at to post it in the proper place, never mind that there hasn't been a post in that forum since the turn of the century!

I really think that what AZB needs to do is something unique and novel, put all the pool related stuff on the main forum, the NPR in NPR,(usually called the coffee shop or similar) and then a religious and political forum where people can brawl all they want to and only felonies are noticed, death threats and such.

For every forum I have seen successfully fragment, I have seen a dozen fade away after fragmentation.

If I were the evil overlord running AZB there would be some changes made!

It's always nice talking with you about anything Hu, even if I am on the wrong side of the discussion!
JoeyA

Hahaha. Why not...

I'm sure most of us would be allowed in.
JoeyA

None.

Good, worthwhile suggestions, Hu !..I believe JoeyA may harbor some resentment toward me..After all, I was the most vocal supporter, of getting his 'life blood' (Aiming Systems) relegated to a sub-forum...Initially, there was some complaining when a 'normal person', felt an A.S. guy was enroaching on the main forum !

But they are a hardy lot, and they have totally ignored the sub-forum created for them !..In fact, Joey, and several of his A.S. heroes, have actually taken over the main forum, with their endless, boring threads, and their blatant commercialism ! ..Actually, I like your thoughts on "death threats", and would like to see if it might work on the obnoxious A.S. interloper's !..Assuming of course, I could be rendered ban proof ! (like they seem to be ) :p
