Drinking and Pool

Same reason why you have "better" sex when you've had a couple of drinks in you, I'm exactly the same way I guess it's performance anxiety or lack of self-confidence or something.

Having a few drinks before and during a tough match is the same as cheating !..I always felt a little guilty about that :p

I had forgotten how much fun drinking and pool playing can be. I really haven't imbibed very much in the last ten years, or so, so this and the duplicate thread (or is this the duplicate?) has served to remind me of the times I've had in the past.
Since I am not a gambler (never really had the courage for it) it was easy for me to begin a night of pool play and a night of drinking at the same time. By the end of the evening I was usually shit-faced, but still with a few bucks in my pocket for a cheese burger and a cup of coffee, or if need be a cab ride home.
I'm thinking seriously, now that I'm older, about reliving some of those nights at the pool room with a Bud Light in one hand and pool cue in the other. As I see it the only thing drinking can hurt is my ego when, after a couple of Quervos, I get turned down by some sweet young thing that's old enough to be my granddaughter.
