There is an old saying from a certain community of people I come from:

If you don't like it here or think it should be different, then what have you done to make it better?

I have been lurking the forums for longer than I have been active but I can tell you this! I try and post engaging threads, questions and topics because I enjoy it! Facebook doesn't have the type of community or proper format for Pool. Buying and selling cues is a different story, but the more silver's that upgrade to gold and the more members that like it here, the better chance for improvement.

Pool is starting to gain mainstream attraction by one medium or another which is good.
Quite frankly OP, your sight is broken. This site is just fine.

I bring this up because I have noticed two things: the "problem" and the people who focus on it and cry wolf. Unless you are a coroner, please stop claiming az is dead. You know how I know it isn't? Because I'm here and I like it well enough. I'm fairly new in terms of activity on this site. Hell I'm still pretty new to the game. (I have only been playing a year and a half.) Anyways, my point is that if I'm on here and I'm playing the game, pool and az must have some semblance of growth. The other thing that it could be is just spring cleaning. Out with the bad apples and in with the new I say!

Now lets make a better AZ together. Lets stop bringing attention to the various problems. Lets stop being elitist or "naysayers". Lets stop trolling people who will not be convinced of their own arrogance (I'm guilty of this too).

Let us ladies and gentlemen help each other get better at the game, find new YouTube videos and show off our cues! Let us debate! Post funny pictures! Laugh and love!

DTR,

Really well thought out and presented. If there is one constant on AZ it's change. Sometimes for the better. Sometimes not. No experimentation equals stagnation. Just got my monthly copies of Car and Driver and Road and Track. Hard to recognize them. Whole different format. After reading both issues, it's obviously for the better. Now if I could only accept that in my pool game!

I am being totally honest. I have been posting for like 12 years, even longer then that because I changed my screen name way back so it is more like since AZ started.

It has grown over the years and is probably the largest billiard site there is. There is not a question you can ask that can not and will not be answered here. These people constantly amaze me with their knowledge. Many will go to a lot of trouble to find information that someone needs and you will get an answer often in minutes.

There is debate but that is a good thing. During the IPT days there was a lot of debate. I had one guy actually threaten to punch me out if I ever showed up in his pool room. Those were lively times.

All in all I don't really see the difference that all these people keep complaining about. I look at the site and there is always something to read, new content, in fact refresh your browser and there will new postings every few minutes.

I know all the complaints about the selling forum but that is not what this sight is about. It is a cyber pool room where people with a common interest come to share ideas.

I am sorry if some cue retailer is having trouble hawking their crap on the selling forum and are bitter but that has nothing to do with the rest of the sight. This sight is as healthy and interesting as it ever was. It goes through cycles but overall I see no difference.

DTR, we need more members like you. Why, after a little over a hundred posts you're already thinking, and talking, like a veteran. Using big words and everything.
Listen Drop, Steamer Cue Sports Ltd., could use a man like you. A man who's not afraid to say what he means. A man who's not afraid to speak his mind. (I know that's redundant, but what the hell.) A man that's not afraid to run an idea up the old flag pole just to see how it waves. Yes sir, you got what we need. Stop by the office and have a chat with Joe Bill Priff, our personnel director.
Yours Truly,
Tramp Steamer CEO, COO, CFO. AFL-CIO, and Three CPO.

I also feel as though this forum is alive and kicking, and I like it here. I've said this before.. Anytime i post and ask a question it gets answered.

But change is good..

If you do what you've always done you'll get what you've always gotten.

Keep hiding your head in the sand lol you know how I know it's dead... 5 years a go when I checked the forum first thing in the morning there would be 4 pages of new posts... Now your lucky if makes it to a 2nd page. I understand why the for sale thread is dead I'm just not sure why the rest of the forums are. Maybe people have gotten tired of the few always angry mean spirited people who Harrass everyone. It's a shame because they're the minority and I just ignore them or maybe they are transitioning to social media (plenty of a holes on there to) nothing ever stays the same for ever. Specially on the old inter webs
