I've seen several players that do tasks as right hand dominate but when it comes to pool and golf they have to shoot/swing lefty.
How many of you do the same....?
Feel natural??

How much to teach us this? My brother does this, I do not, and I'm his twin.

I do exactly that. I also kick lefty, and use both hands with strong, but different, dexterity. I do different tasks better with each hand.

I do everything right-handed except play pool. For the longest time I didn't know I was shooting left-handed, until one day a guy I was playing said, "So, you're a lefty?" I told him no, that I was right-handed, and he said I was playing left-handed. Before that I had just thought that all the coordination must be in your bridge hand.

I can only use my right hand when shooting with a bridge, by the way.

I do this also, it's probably because you use your hand/wrist to control the contact (front of cue) more than the back. Think about what the left hand is doing back there, not as much as the right hand is probably.

Right handed. Do everything right handed expect pool (when playing normally except back to right handed for reach/bridge play). Never was a problem playing snooker but I wish I could eke out a couple of MPH more on my break (21MPH going full tilt left handed).

Sigel and Mizerak as well. You're in good company. Or, should I say, they're in good company!!!

Freddie <~~~ can't even speak left-handed

I'm so dominantly right sided about the only thing I can do with my left hand is make a bridge.

My best friend plays pool right handed but writes left handed. He also shoots guns right handed. I believe it has to do with having a slightly dominant right eye though he shoots pool very well left handed also.

With everything else in his life, he seems to be totally ambidextrous. Seems to have the same ability with his feet. He can kick 40-50 yard field goals with either foot.

Actually, it pretty impressive to watch him at times.

Check to see which eye is dominant. I write right handed but shoot pool and a gun left handed. I came to it naturally, but later learned that my left eye is dominant. If you don't know how to check which eye is dominant, pick a point on the wall, point your finger at it. Cover one eye, note whether the point on the wall moved. Repeat the process by covering the other eye. With one of your two eyes, the point on the wall should not move. That's your dominant eye.

im also right handed right eye dominate but play pool lefty. until i start to zen i have to force myself to use the left eye when aiming or ill be off about 3 inches.

I'm with you. I can't do anything left-handed.... If I lost my right arm, id' be in a lot of trouble ;)

We have 3 left handed players in league who are right handed. They only play pool left handed...They all said that when they were very small they picked up the cue with the right hand to make a bridge...They didn't know any better and no one said anything...That's why they say they play lefty....

My Dad was a left handed pitcher for the Padres and Washington Senators...I unconsciously do some things left handed...I'm right handed but I deal cards with my left hand, open doors with my left hand and play darts better left handed...Haven't really tried pool left handed...I golf right handed...Can shoot basketball left handed and bowl left handed.....I mean, not real good..Not like right handed but I can do it..

I write and do most menial things left handed. I throw and shoot pool right handed. I kick right footed but water-ski left footed. I can golf and bat equally bad either handed. I work equally well with either hand.

if you're truly left-sighted, you tend to be left-handed - depending on your age cause most teachers/parents tried to force right-handed upon you. ergo, most left-sighted are ambidextrous. and that's an advantage.

i can't speak for right-sighted, but i think they are all-in on right.

When I was a teenager I broke some bones in my right hand so I had to...ah hem, you know what with my left.
One afternoon my Dad came into the bathroom and caught me doing the dirty deed, and yelled at me. "Don't you know that you'll go blind from doing that!"
I answered. "Could I do it just 'til I need glasses?"
I've been ambidextrous ever since.
