W/FS Section Idea

classiccues

OK.. Here is an idea I had and was talking with another dealer. My belief is that a common sub forum would always be better to isolate and separate customs vs production etc...

We kicked around an idea of doing a thread or threads that would look something like this...

FS: South West Cues ALL.... please post any SW cues here...

The reason is, lets face it, someone doing a search is going to see them all anyways. Plus as an overall thread, it will get many more views than an individual thread. The OP would have to be the bumper but everyone would get bumped because all would be in the same thread.

As I mentioned, the competition angle is BS, because a search will be done and all the cues will be seen anyways.

Pro's, con's... anyone...

The WFS is what it is. It would make sense to do a split like you suggest Joe but don't bank on it. Even in its degraded state it's worthwile, IMO.

I hoped for that for a long time. The bump button is a great improvement, tho has been called for for 2y now.
My vote is yes, good Idea!

Martin,

That's not exactly what I am saying...

You would have an individual thread.. FS: Barry Szamboti Cues.. Post all here..
I post a few, Sean posts a few, Don S, Kenny, Ken, Jose, Cleiton etc.. now all the cues are in one thread.

Now if someone wants to see Barry's.. they just need that thread. I don't know if any of the new posting rules would make this problematic.. but I like the idea of giving people a choice and all posted in one thread. Would get a lot of views....

I like it. It would help ease the searching. Not sure if it's clever enough to bring people back here. The Exodus seems to have happened, and we may already be in Numbers or Deuteronomy. :frown:

An improved search function would help a lot, too. Not sure if the forum software could handle it though.

Being able to search by, custom/production, weight, balance point, shaft diameter, etc., would save a lot of time and allow buyers to find a cue that might otherwise get buried in the thousands of "for sale" postings.
