Just to be thought by so many of as a possible COTY is more than enough for me...:cool:

That's a nice cue.
At what point in the build did you decide to add all of those veneers & inlays>>:scratchhead:

Then the forearm "Exploding Barbells" we're next....

The JP's are underway. Bob used all the orange in the cue. When he gets more he'll do them. It is orange by the way not red though it may look that way.

I always thought that cue of the year had to be different, not the plain jane with fancy woods or traditional four point balabushka "tribute". But this is the type of "tribute" that challenges the idea of classic. it's very subtle, but very different. and it will kick off the idea of bringing back real playing wood, not just fancy burls and figured woods. this cue makes me want to play, not makes me want to look at it. manzino has been said to be the next big cuemaker, I think he already passed that and than some. his cues everytime they show up here are better built than the last one.

When Bob and I talk about the cue I told him I didn't want to "bling" the cue out which we could have easily done by maybe just adding a thin silver border around all of the ivory and ebony dot's and maybe even the inside of the cameo. To me this would have taken away from the classic look we were trying to achieve so we didn't do that. IMO this is a very "nice" player. Bob called it a "sleeper" because though it looks classic, when you examine it closely you start to see the work put into doing this cue. Bob and I had a great time doing this cue. He got to do some things he hadn't done in a long time as well as some things he'd never done, and I got to finally complete this project..:smile:

I agree with you. Bob IS a "Big" cuemaker..:thumbup:
 
Thanks guys! Been hittin with this for a bit now, used to the way it moves the cue, and I'm even more happy with the way it plays than how authentically nice it looks... Can't be any happier :)

Here they are with the cue... Everything lines up exact. Then again it is a Manzino! :) Just perfect!!



 
Like Jimmy, gotta bump this maker up with the other big boys..:wink:

There's some others that need to seen again too! Owners, give em' a nudge..:smile:
