Hi,

In your opinion, which of the two should i build my monthly training plan?
At the end of each month i want to test myself. Planing to play 30 racks against ghost and do the BU exam to track my progress/strengths/weaknesses.

I was thinking of creating sort of a play book, printing all drills from either VEPP or BU and put them into plastics sheets.

Then depending on my weakness, i'd create a 2h session set of drills to address them and do it once a day.

Your opinion is welcomed!

Regards,
Mart

The number of drills in VEPP is a bit much for a single session (or even an entire week). VEPP is most useful when you want to work on a specific area of your game. Just go to the pertinent VEPP section and use all of the drills in that section to work on your problem area.

The BU Exams provide a better overall workout and evaluation of all aspects of your game. Also, they are already available (and free) in a convenient form for printing.

Regardless of what set of drills you settle on, keep records to monitor your improvement over time and to identify your strehgths and weakness (and use the VEPP drills to work on the weaknesses).

Good luck, and have fun,
Dave

I was not thinking on using all the VEPP at once :)
I was planing on choosing the ones (from either VEPP or BU) to help me with my weaknesses.

So I think I will use VEPP catalog of drills to prepare a monthly plan, and use the BU to assess my strength/weekness and track progress from month to month!

How long does the BU exam takes (I understand it may differ from person to person, but a ballpark)?

Figure app. an hour for each test.

Sounds good.

Roughly 50 minutes for each exam if you are setting up and scoring on your own.

Good luck,
Dave

PS: Please consider posting you BU Exam scores (and videos if available) on the AZB BU thread both now and as you progress.
