Cue recommendation request

So, I am 51 and I dont see like when I was in my twenties. Bought a nice table for home and have been playing with a junk cue that came with it....sanded it down just to see if I could enjoy pool again.
I played a tourney tonight with some guys that I would have beat opposite handed when I played competively....finished one spot out of the money.....zero confidence in the cue.
I always played with Meucci originals. Most dont, but I loved that whippy feel and soft hit.
Can someone recommend a seller or company who would have a new Meucci original or other brand with soft joint, no stainless....looking for 17 ounce with pro taper shaft as my fingers are small, le pro medium or soft leather tip.....looks not important.
I have very little confidence in the cue I am playing with, particularly with any draw shot or long cut on the rail.
Recommendations appreciated, yet have no interest in custom makers. No offense intended, just want to own something soon. Thanks

Place an ad on the wanted/for sale forum indicating that you want a meucci originals cue and what your preferences in the cue would be.

There are generally some of these cues to be had, the vast majority will not be in *new* cond but many are real nice.

The 17 oz requirement is light - maybe there will be a removable weight bolt that can reduce somewhat.

As for reputable sellers, see who responds with something you like and check their iTrader rating to see how they have conducted themselves in prev transactions.

this should get you started in a good direction.

GL and feel free to ask any other questions along the way.

best,

The MO cues are still available, used, as KC said, someone is likely to sell one.

On the other hand, I just bought a Schmelke brand new and made to my spec's in less than a month for a ridiculously low price. The finish and execution is beyond acceptable.

Seriously, I paid less than $280 for a reverse bubinga/maple 4-point, full splice, wrapless with custom joint, hoppe bumperless, two 12.5 diameter shafts and an extra inch on the butt and both shafts (30/30 split). I asked for it to be between 17 and 18 ounces. I haven't weighed it, but it feels right.

The only thing that was wrong is that since I didn't have a bumper, they didn't finish the very end of the butt...minor and they'd likely fix that.

I like it, my friends like it. Other than the $40 adam pawnshop cue I had a long time ago, it is the best money I have spent on a cue.

Well...if you can wait until Monday, I might be the poolguy4u.

I'll be going to a pool tournament this weekend so I won't have time to look.

On Monday, I can open up the Meucci cue vault and see what fits your description.

:D
