Interesting game. After watching my first ever game, I think I understand what's going on:
-Its is scored like one pocket. First person to score 8 points (of 15 available) wins the game.
-To score a point, you have to carom the black (the cueball) off of a white, into any pocket. This gets you one point. You then remove a white from the table with your hand, so the number of whites remaining and the score count are in sync.
-Caroming the black affords you BIH. With this BIH shot, you attempt a conventional straight in shot. If you make it, that is another point (no whites are picked off the table with your hand on this type of point)
-If you are successful with the straight in shot, your switch back to the carom type shot, and repeat this alternating type of shot until you fail to score a point.
I was confused once, where both players attempted a straight in shot without first making a carom shot.
