I have a Jack Madden cue 12.83 mm was thinking of having the shaft turned down to 12.4mm my question is should I leave it original and buy another shaft or turn it down thanks.

since it is an option, leave it and get another one. that way you can switch between them in case one does not feel as good that day

I have 3 or 4 shafts that are a match fit for my main player and have another dozen or so shafts that will fit on my main player.
The one shaft that is sanded down I play the least with it.
The other one I sanded down I sold ........
Buy another shaft .............or buy a lathe and make your own shafts like I do.
I wouldn't want to lose the option of having the 12.83 shaft if the 12.4 doesn't play as good as you were hoping.
