Mike, does Hsu's 22.5 point rating change mean his ranking will probably continue to jump around?

Thanks again for this,

I don't recognize all the names, but I don't see any female players' name in this list.

That's quite interesting.

Who is the highest ranking female according to the Fargo Rating? And what is her Fargo rating?

It is Siming Chen of CHN, rated 774.

Yes, somewhat. We only have 292 games for him, notably fewer than those around him. But he is the real deal.

We have 11 matches he won:

11-5 Kazakis
11-9 He Wen Li
11-3 Mastermaker
9-3 Ronghua Zhao
11-7 Jason Klatt
9-2 Xiao Cong Xu
11-6 Che Wei Fu
11-6 Phil Burford
11-9 Lian Han Toh
9-5 Efren Reyes
9-2 So Shaw

We have 7 matches he lost. Interesting thing about his losses is they are nearly all to very high-ranked opponents and in 4 out of 7 he went to the hill:

8-9 to Hingming Zhu
7-11 to Jiaqing Wu (world # 1)
10-11 to Jiaqing Wu world # 1)
7-11 to Corteza (world # 11)
8-9 to Jundal Mazon (world # 15)
7-11 to Van Den Berg

Hi Mike,

Any chance you can add the robustness column going forward? Preferable on the site itself, in addition to the spreadsheets you post here. I know it is on fairmatch.fargo.com when looking up an individual player, but that is a lot more tedious than having it on the main site.

I've been watching very, very carefully, and it seems players with under 1000 games can easily move 10 to 20 points after just a few bad matches. Baby Ko in the past month moved from about (from memory) 785 to 804 and now back to 785 after his poor US Open performance.

Wu, for example, hasn't played in a while it seems, and his robustness is about 800. If he has a few bad matches, he could easily fall below Shane, as we saw with Baby Ko move all over the place this past month.

My opinion is 1000 robustness is the minimum to prevent players from jumping significant points after a few bad matches.

Anyway, having this robustness number easily accessible, would be welcomed:)

I'm guessing Hsu's number will settle in close to 800 once he gets more games in. Awfully impressive for a relative unknown.

Thanks Mike for this huge undertaking. It is a true service to the game!

Wow, 2 of biggest improvers are the lesser heralded Taiwanese Hsu and Kevin Cheng. They are also the only 2 remaining Taiwanese in winners side while the more well known Kos and Changs are on losers side or eliminated
Was not impressed when I saw him play 1-2 years ago but he must have improved lots since then.
Kevin Cheng has been around for some time always playing second fiddle to Kos and Changs when they play overseas. But his big breakthrough probably came earlier this month when he won CBSA event $30K winners cheque

There is only 1 Euro in top 10 and I think more will move into top 10 after this tourney. Particularly impressive is Ortmann

oh so HSU is kevin cheng! I was wondering who the heck it was. I'm more use to seeing his entire name printed out.

I dont think his big table game is as consistent as some of the other chinese/taiwan big names.
