Do Squirt Amounts Change or it your perception?

Do you believe that the adjustment that you would allow for squirt would change for a shot played with Top Left, then Middle Left and lastly Bottom Left? or on the right? or for Inside vs. Outside?

I think there are adjustments that have to be made on any shots where squirt is concerned.

When you add top or bottom to side spin, you now have to account for swerve as well as squirt.

When I use side spin, I try to stay in the middle of the cue ball and put left or right, as needed. I try to avoid extreme top or bottom, unless it is needed to add forward roll on the cue ball or bottom for draw.

I use my "stroke" and ball speed to navigate the table as much as possible and try to stay in the "middle" area of the cue ball.

Each of those would have to be aimed differently, since they each create a different amount of swerve.

No difference in amount of squirt, but different OB contact points to allow for different throw.

Differences

I knew I was aiming slightly different at Top of the ball for sure, Middle and Bottom of cue ball when using Side Spin are similar based on what I know my stroke delivers but I really hadn't considered it was the swerve and not the squirt but now that I think about it, I would guess the stroke on the top invokes more downward pressure which should increase the swerve and that would be different from the other two cueing locations that should produce less downward pressure with a level cue.

Yes, middle and low are more similar than high, which "breaks" sooner than either.

Low can't be hit with a level cue, so it should produce more swerve than middle - except that you might normally hit low shots a little harder, reducing swerve.

I think Ive got it now

I knew when working with squirt allowances at fairly close distance that the allowance amounts were very close to the same and nearly identical using middle and low out to 3 diamonds of object ball/cue ball separation and this had me puzzled because I don't use so much high right or left until I need to make cue ball run at certain angles.. I knew how to hit the shots but I also know I was aiming differently by a small margin on those particular shots. This game will vex you at times.lol
