Well, I saw the cues in person earlier during trade negotiations.
Brian and I have dealt with each other with cues and supplies on multiple occasions and he's certainly no scammer.
Does he have good forum manners? Ha. No. Not even a little, he's a dickhead.
But, the cues in this deal were a lot of Tru Balances for $300. That's a heavy premium for them, and they were described as 8/10 condition or better, most of them straight. One having a little wobble. He showed me the conversations on the matter.
The cues were good for shooting around corners, and were cracked to shit. Cracks through the points, chunks missing, only 3 of them were remotely nice. For $300, they should have all been in good to great condition. I mean, they were basically useless in every way. Can't convert them, can't harvest shafts from them, can't display them like a premium Tru Balance. These would be good to retip and throw in some dive bar, and not much else.
They disputed back and forth, agreed on a partial refund since a request for return was not accepted. After that, it got personal.
These cues are worse than tomato stakes, I would have been truly incensed if I did not get a complete refund and also had a return label mailed to me. I attached a couple of examples. One of them was warped in 3 places and they all appeared to have old moisture issues.
I really hope they can get past this deal, no one was happy and that is the sign of a great compromise ahaha.
Also, a cue was shorted on the order?
