Answer: they've restricted those aluminum bats so that they cannot produce results that exceed the performance of a wood bat. Weights have to be within the same limit as the wood bats, as well as all of the dimensions. So, will the bat perform better than wood? Nope. So....what was your point about the aluminum bat, again?

RJ claimed that the rules were the same for all levels of baseball. I proved they aren't. End of story. For me, at least. You make everything an argument. I'll give you a little tip: your pee-pee doesn't get bigger when you 'win' an argument on the internet.

i don't want to join in you 2 guys argument but i might as wel add to the deraiment of this thread.

people do lament the fact that most leagues play by different rules and say it should be standardized.

they also say the same thing about tables should be a standard size " 9 " and a standard brand " diamond ".

quite often they use other sports as an example for their opinion.

baseball was brought up in this thread as an example of uniformity. unfortunately baseball is a bad example.

list of dofferences.

1. equipment... aluminum bats allowed from little league all the way up to and including college. not so in the pros

2. rules. al allows a designated hitter ..nl does not.

3. playing field. some have grass and some have artificial turf.

4. standard size. i don't think any 2 fields are exactly alike and there is a helluva difference between fenway park and the astro dome.

as you can see ...there is nothing unoform about base ball....even at the pro league...beats the hell outa me why amateur pool should be leld to a higher standard.concerning rules and equipment.

you and i have had disagreements on here a time or two but if you read my post above you will see i back up your statement but i don't agree with how you worded it.

you and teacherman both need to learn how to voice your opinions without degrading others who disagree with you regardless whether you are right or not.

I've broken out before as a 4 as well and am still a 4 despite having like a 70-80 percent win rate my last two seasons. I don't think someone's writing down my safeties -_-

There is NO sport in the world that has a standardized "equipment" specification across the spectrum, from the lowest level up to the pros. None. Soccer uses a smaller net, and a smaller ball for kids. Shoes, shin pads, etc, are up to the individual. Hockey - sticks can be different lengths, materials, etc.

The point of RJs message is that the game of baseball is played with the exact same rules of play. 4 balls, 3 strikes, 3 outs, etc. Some asshat brought up bats. It's a stupid comparison, really. If you're a crappy hitter, an aluminum bat will not make you hit any better. So let's remove the bat, the glove, the field, etc. The rules of baseball are the same. If you catch the ball, you're out. If you get three strikes, you're out. 4 balls, you get a walk.
