2016 Bigfoot tourney at DCC

Yes, that was a Fatboy event (9-footer) in 2010. But more recently, Efren won the Pacquiao Cup 10-Ball Singles event just 12 months ago (9-footers again).

He also won the 'Make It Happen' One Pocket this year against five of the best.

Efren!

Go Efren go! If I could shoot half as good as Efren I could beat a whole bunch of hot shot pool players across the USA !

He is good at winning and loosing. A class act.

We took the top twelve we could get from the Fargo ratings. The last four spots were by invitation. There are eight of the top ten in the field and seven of the next ten (11-20).

No archer seems like he gets left out of alot of these invite tournaments.

Efren's spot should be automatic, with entry guaranteed every year if nothing else as a fan favorite pick until he no longer wishes to play.

If Earl didn't have his antics, I would say that he is another who should be automatically included and entry paid for life.

Those are the only 2 I can think of who can still play and would deserve that.

Efren and Earl get that respect in the US Open 9-ball......
...a short field like the Bigfoot.....it's impracticle.

DCC is far more accessible than US Open, and lots more people play and spectate the DCC.

If the goal is to have great players play 10 ball and fans watch + cheer, then it doesn't seem impractical. If it's a money issue, there are only 1000 fans who would run to donate the entry fee to watch these two play with the current best.

Bigfoot

Jay,

i have no complaints about the line up.
If any one drops out, it looks like they will be replaces by players who are just as deserving of a spot in the tourney.

Too bad there aren't enough openings for everyone's favorite players to compete.

Just wanted to thank you for all the work you do & for putting up with all the crap that comes along with doing all that work.

It is worth the cost of the tv table seats just to watch this one event.

Thanks,

slim

It's only about five years ago that Efren won the ten-ball event at the Derby. I don't think that it was on ten-footers but let's give the magician his due, for he can still find moments of greatness even in rotation games.

And, as if it need be said, watching Efren play has been an honor and one of the things that brings me back to the Derby year after year.

Here are matches we have in for Efren for just over the last year These include 2015 Japan Open, 2015 Pacquiao Cup, and 2014 US Open.

Matches Efren Won:

9-6 over Bustamante
9-7 over Morra
11-10 over Demosthenes Pulpul
11-8 over Oliver Medenilla
11-3 over Babica
11-3 over Parica
11-3 over Kenichi Uchigaki

Matches Efren lost:

3-11 to Mark Aristotle Mendoza
5-11 to Orcollo
7-11 to Klatt

he would man handle all of us on any table, but that means we can't give an opinion or make a point? #cavemanthinking

Yep, he sure would... Genius hashtag pal
I'm not saying Skyler deserves to be in the Bigfoot challenge, the 10 ball ghost on any table though is certainly feasible. Just giving my #opinion.

Person A: Gives opinion about a pro.
Person B: Ya, well that pro would man handle you.

see how dumb that looks

lol.. Your invite would come before mine. I do think sky could beat the 10 ball ghost though on a 10' or lesser sized table

Thanks for that. Backs up what I said about Efren still being competitive at the top level.
