It's funny. Depends on what side of the pond you are on.
Germans are known worldwide for their sense of humor...think of how many famous German comedians there are, after all.
Please explain the funniness to me - I mean that very seriously.

How can you call yourself a man and not have watched Ms. Universe?!?!?!
It's a reference to the recent Miss Universe pageant in which the master of ceremonies, Steve Harvey ( the guy in the picture), announced the wrong winner and had to correct himself. You should get out more often.
Explaining usually takes the funny out, but...
1. I'm sure you know of the gaff made by Steve Harvey.
2. He got it waaaaaaaaay wrong
3. So, with this thing saying the US won the Mosconi Cup relates to the fact of how waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay wrong it is that we can/did/could beat the Euro's in the Mosconi Cup.
It's not belly busting funny, but it's clever and relevant.

I didn't get it either at first. I had to look it up. Then again, I didn't come into the thread and post that it wasn't funny.
