Boston area pool players,

Our in house league is starting again Monday January 25, 2016 at Jillian’s Boston. We welcome players of all levels. This is a fun and competitive 8 ball league that has been around for more than 16 years. Our handicapping system is loosely based on the APA system. Cash prizes paid out at the end of the season. A team consists of four players and the cost is $10 per person per night. Individuals are welcome and we will find a team for you to join.
PM me with any questions or email fenway8ball@gmail.com
Thank you
Paul

A reminder for tomorrow

My few experiences at Jillians tells me that I would never want to play there for any serious pool related reason. Super slow shag carpet red felt huge pocket horror show lol... I thin it would be perfect for anyone who liked the idea of being wasted and having fun playing pool in a drunk Boston scene...

I agree that the equipment needs a lot of work and management has VERY slowly addressed issues that we point out to them. Regardless, there are limited places to play in the center of Boston, if there are any others at all.

Also our Monday night group is the furthest thing from a "wasted and drunk scene". It is merely a group of players that enjoy getting a night out and shooting some pool for some cash prizes at the end of the season.

You are more that welcome to stop in and check it out for yourself and I would be more than happy to answer any specific questions you have.
Thank you

Do you need to use red chalk?

When I played in this league at Boston Billiards and the couple of times that I played at Jillian's, there were always a few to a handful of guys who could match your speed.

As a rule, in the "city" rooms, especially Flat Tops, at least one or two strong players blow into town every September for school.

Hi
You can use any chalk you want.

We have a good range of players from beginners to shortstop level.

Individuals and entire teams can still join for the next 3 weeks in order to qualify for playoffs. We have a 10 week season followed by a double elimination playoffs. Prizes are split for top 4 finish in regular season and top 4 in playoffs. You are more than welcome to just come by and check it out.

Thanks
Paul
