Rick, you need to stop bringing Sean into these discussions. He tired of a lot of the foolishness the permeates the forum, but rest assured that no one "drove him off."
He and I talked about this in person, around a pool table. The forum having become poisoned is a factor.... He was a very long time contributor to this forum, and its worse for him no longer contributing.

Sean & I certainly did not see eye to eye on a number of issues but I found his disappearing rather odd.
He was pumping up how he was going to go under the hood of CTE & get to the bottom of it. He made rather many posts about that & then rather all of a sudden he disappeared.
Another implied that it was me & me alone that "drove him off". That was said for an ulterior motive. One may leave for their own reasons but it's certainly up to them whether or not they allow someone to "drive them off".
Just look at all that I have had to take in order to stay & not be silenced or run off. What I have had to endure is much more than vigorous debate over a disagreement.
Sean has chosen to become a part of AZB history, but as such he is certainly a part & can be brought up whenever it is applicable to do so.
I don't bring him up for no purpose. Since he has not been spending time here, he must of had some time to go under the hood of CTE. Did he tell you anything?

Oh I am very old. I have physical limitations too. I'd just like to shoot $300 or $400 at you and find out what you got.

You've made some rather ugly posts to & about me & you are a big CTE advocate & now you want to hook up & meet me.
You've also been bragging about how the balls have been flying in the holes for you supposedly because of CTE. Now all of a sudden you want to play for money & you shoot terrible.
You seem to be the type that has been giving the game a bad reputation for too many years.
I would say nice try though, but it really was not. It was very transparent.
I would suggest that you go see the CTE thread that is now in the main, but you're really not interested about what allows you & other to have success while utilizing it.

Pool had a bad reputation with the general public way before The Hustler.
Where were the biggest bumps?
In pool halls &/or bars where there were guys trying to be or become a hustler...
... or in home table sales for families of 4 to 6 or more.
Was Fats's character in the movie shown to be a hustler or THE top player.
Willie Mosconi virtually hated the image that Rudolf portrayed as a hustler, yet Willie was the technical advisor & coach for the movie & actually shot many of the shots. Willie said that he never hustled anyone.
If what you got from the movie is that one SHOULD be a hustler then you missed it completely.
The COM was about making money with a movie & had almost no moral other than about the low to no character of a not too intelligent cocky young man.

I hate gambling....I like a lead pipe cinch. Robbing someone with a big mouth is good, then it gets gooder. Keeping the con is the goodest, though.

I want people who will bet even money on the pass line.
They're out there.... usually lecturing on how physics works instead of working on how to get better at making a pool ball sail into a pocket.
