Simple really ...I think one pocket is a shit game but I don't harass the people that discuss it and enjoy it. Let people talk about what they want to talk about..who cares.

That tells me I will skip anything you have to say!.. Anyone who hates one pocket, is not relevant to anything pool related..There must be a reason why 1P is becoming the most popular game, for tournament, or gambling!..It involves every skill needed to play at the top level..I feel sorry for you, that you can't see that! :sorry:

It's too easy a game to master. I don't consider those that think one pocket is THE game as serious pool players. Really, it's not a that hard a game to play because of the rules.

Serious pool players play 14.1. You master that game and all the others are cake.

This thread has it all! Aiming, fundamentals, what's wrong with American pool, and one pocket. I'm just waiting to see if we can get every single cliche topic into one post. Does anyone know how the new predator shafts feel? I don't mean when you hit a ball, I mean in general. Do you think they're happy, sad what are your thoughts.

One pocket is too easy a game to master. I don't consider those that think one pocket is THE game as serious pool players. Really, it's not a that hard a game to play because of the rules. Serious pool players play 14.1. You master that game and all the others are cake.

Yes, I suppose thats why 14.1 has been phased out of all the major tournaments, for about the last 50 yrs.! It has to be the most boring game on a pool table!..Shooting any ball, in any hole, is not too exciting!..Even 9/10 ball are more interesting to watch than straight pool!..1P is a thinking mans game..obviously thats not your bag!..

PS..If you think 1P is such an easy game to master, that tells me you have probably never
gambled at it!.. BTW duckie, I lived in Milpitas for 12 yrs (in the 50's-60's)..I always had to go to SF, or San Jose to find good one pocket action!

I'm not going to spend all my waking moments on this forum trying to convince you otherwise and I'm sure not going to sit here and whine about how your views differ from mine. You could add a couple of more suggestions below like:

BUSY TODAY? Bypass all aiming conversations.

BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF, is it really worth making yourself look like a child, whining about what people are talking about?

Joey, I'm going to go out on a limb here, and assume you may be referring to me. ..I can live with that..However, I can't help but be offended by some people, who may be good at psycho-analysis, but are obviously are not as capable at expressing their views on anything pool related!

I am certainly not trying to impose my will on them, its their loss.. I don't consider it 'whining' when I point out the fact that they don't know what they are talking about!..I just wonder why they are on a pool forum to begin with, and I'm sure not afraid to tell them that!

As for a 'one pocket sub-forum', that would be fine with me..In fact, if it were not for onepocket.org, it would probably rival the main forum for interest and participation!..I'm sure it would be a hell of a lot more active than the 'aiming sub-forum' ever was! :grin: :grin: :grin:

And while us Americans were/are learning to aim, the rest of the world is learning fundamentals and blowing right by us and leaving us in their dust

Kinda selfish of me I suppose..I just never did believe in, nor subscribe to 'aiming systems' per say! ..I guess I got tired of seeing them presented as a way of improving a 'newbies' grasp of the game...I felt that you, Barton and CJ. etc, were overloading the main forum with all the perceived benefits of AS, CTE, TOI, or whatever else you were promoting. (which could change from day to day )

I've never been very good at sugar coating, for that I apologize.. I am sure I could have been more tactful in voicing my personal opinion!..Certainly nothing against any of you as decent, pool knowledgable people, just a complete difference in viewpoints.

PS..I was not surprised how many people shared my views, but I was at how many actually got nasty about it!..You had your share of supporters too, lobbing an occasional grenade at me! (cost me a ban, or two:embarrassed2 Oh well, keeps the juices flowing for me!..Its no fun debating people who agree with you.
